Ok, so I just took out all my old Lego stuff so me and my step-daughter have something to play with this weekend, and OMG how the memories came flooding back to me! Castles and Pirates and multi-colored skyscrapers!!

So to all those who have or had lego, Please share your fondest memories, best creations and anything else you have about Lego.

I'm currently making Space Marines =D =D Will start the tanks tomorrow!

Lego was my number 1 source for entertainment before I got into video games.

I still have many boxes filled with thousands of pieces and I must have made hundreds of different scenes/settings :)

Good times.

If there weren't such a huge stigma on adults (hah!) playing with Lego blocks I might just be tempted myself.

Still, I've heard worse reasons to have kids.

Keep on blocking, good sir/madam!

Lego. Gotta love it.

I still remember that amazing bit on TV where James May made an entire, full sized house out of the stuff. It was awesome.

Lego is about the best thing I ever played with besides myself. Since I'm 15 now, and still playing Lego might look a bit weird, I switched to MineCraft. It's basically Lego for PC, not those crappy license games but the idea behind the thing.

I used to spend hours making pyramids...but my proudest moment was making a sphere. I don't remember how long it took, but I was so proud of myself for making it.
And then I started messing with the Technics and bionicles. Which led to me creating mutants out of them. I think the biggest one I have intact is about two feet tall.
I also made a pair of pistols, with resistant triggers, and a rifle(outline, anyway...), with a detachable magazine and trigger.

That's the first I've heard of such a thing. Or maybe I'm just ignorant. Either way, SCREW WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY! Go get some more legos!

haha my thoughts exactly!

I loved lego so much. I probably have spent about a thousand euro on the stuff when I was growing up. You could NEVER get bored of it

Hey, my ex-partner/best friend (whichever is more relevant in this case) even makes fun of me for playing video games and those have lovely, mature violence. I don't know what she'd say if I told her I was going to break out the Legos.

I would like to know though.

It's social experiment time!

I am a Lego maniac, especially with messing about in the old evil-looking stuff.

@OP

My very good man, I thank you for bringing up my wonderful childhood memories..

I love being creative and Lego was the first medium I found to do just that, a working pump-system that my dad helped me build, forts, windmills, ships.. you name it, I've built it..

Then along came the PS1 and the Lego went under the bed, then the attic, then some boxes somewhere, if it wasn't dusty I'd get it all out again and play all day long..

I wish I actually knew someone who still liked playing with it because that would be quite nice, surprisingly its in my list of characteristics of my perfect woman: like Lego..

Ah well, I suppose minecraft SMP does somehow qualify but its just not the same..

If you're interested I think theres a store online which does specialist Lego pieces such as halo figures and weapons and I'm sure they do WH40K stuff as well..
