or can die from inhaling passive smoke.
Yeah, the government has done a few studies on passive smoke (Google them) and they found the likelihood of an individual constantly around a smoker developing cancer or other health problems from said smoker is "statistically insignificant." From memory, the last test showed something in the realm of less than a 1% increase, which, as anyone familiar with the scientific method and the above quote will tell you, means nothing. Oh yes, secondary smoke is indeed one of the greatest myths of our time. You know why they can't say "Secondary Smoke Kills" on cigarette packets? Because they can't prove it. But no one seems to mind. All over the shop you have people flat out LYING to people, but they can't prove it and people like you continue to push the myth onward into the next century.
But you really wanna argue other people endangering your health? You know how long that list is? Every act you come into contact with on a daily basis that can harm you? You've got better odds of dying while walking down the street than from secondary smoke--fact. You know how many people in this planet use poison in their home? You also know how many people die of accidental poisoning each year? Weed killer on your lawn? Can kill people. Tiled bathroom floor? Kills people. Ever drive a car? You put people in more danger than your average smoker. I can go on and on, but I think you get it.
Here, look, one example off the top of my head of someone endangering your well-being that you probably don't care about: fat people on buses and trains. An overweight person (which, in most Western Country, makes up more than 50% of us) takes up more room on public transport, meaning more people have to stand. You are more likely to be killed or seriously injured when standing in an accident. Fat people increase the odds of other people dying, every single day.
Or do you just not like smoking? Do you feel it your given right to walk down the street however you so please? Sorry. World doesn't work that way. People don't have to stop doing what they like because you don't feel like walking around them.
