That's a lie. Anyone can takes breaks as often as a smoker does. It comes down to how willing your employer is to allow it. If you wanna go outside and stretch your legs for 1 minute every half an hour, your boss will prolly be fine with it. Know how I know? Every time my friends went out for a smoke at my last job, I went with them--not to smoke, but to get the hell out of work for a minute.

Smoking is not risky though, it is flat-out damaging.
Been a smoker for 20 years.

Spent 12 years in the British Army, the Para's to be exact, which is one of the most physically demanding next to Royal Marines (not quite SAS though).

After 20 years of being a smoker I can still run a mile and a half in under 7 minutes. I still go to the gym 3 times a week and I still have a healthy body.

I understand not all people are the same but it does kinda knock down your argument somewhat.

There are people like me who are still just as healthy and can do more physically demanding things than some non-smokers.

My dad has been a smoker for 50 years and still works his arse off and besides slowing down a bit with his age he's still healthy as a horse.

My gran has been a smoker for 65 years and the only thing wrong with her is she is bat shit nuts. Her health is fine.

Edit: I'm not saying the every asthma suffers from passive smoke. But passive smoke triggers asthma attacks in most people suffering from asthma.
Tough. You don't see the issue here. No one has to change their legal habits because you want to be where they are. There's really no other way to say it. I don't care if 1 or 1000000 people don't like it. Joe Blogs is doing something perfectly legal and you have to deal with it--go around, don't stand near him, hold your breath, whatever the hell else.

tl;dr: Sucks for you.
I'm not saying it should be illegal, or that you shouldn't do it. I'm saying that a little consideration to others would be nice.
And I do go around, hold my breath, avoid standing next to smokers etc. It's still inconsiderate, annoying and damaging to my health. That's my views and the views of many, and your views are yours and the views of many. We just have to live with that.

People can live the short time they have however they want and anyone who has a problem with that needs to take a second to figure out why they are spending theirs caring what other people fucking do with their own.

Go ahead and spend some of your life giving a shit what some guy does to his lungs. Me? I'm gonna do shit that, you know, is fun. But I'm sure on your deathbed all those times you took time out of your life to stop and think "why is that idiot smoking, herp derp" will come flooding back and you'll be glad.

Anyone that gives a shit what someone else chooses to do with their life needs to get a life of their own.
When you smoke you: 1. make other people unhealthy that are around you. 2. make us all pay for diseases that you will have from it. therefore, infact innocent bystander is worse off than you are because you decided its ok to poison yourself. In my opnion smokers sohuld be exempt from any social insurance, they are clearly suicidal, why should I pay for your heath that you obviuosly dont care about?

Let's see how it works for gamers; playing video games doesn't make you evil, but it does make you a fuck tonne fatter than I am. Oh? Just because you do one thing doesn't mean you can't do another? You can exercise, eat right and lead a perfectly healthy life while also doing something that doesn't contribute to physical health? What a revelation.
Playing games does not make you fatter. Eating too much does. Playing games is not equal to inhaling poison. your argument is full of fail.

If you're standing in someone's face and having smoke blown down your throat, you need to back the hell up and give someone their personal space.
P-lease.
Or maybe the smoker should go and poison where there are no healthy human beings around. you know there are regulations on factories dioxide for a reason. and so should be on smokers. if you smoke, go to your stinky corner and stop smoking in bus stops.

I smoke maybe once or twice a day, usually vanilla flavored ciggarettes. My policy is if you let me smoke in peace I'll happily keep my distance and treat you with respect. If you start insulting me however, then I'll fire right back. Treat smokers as you wish to be treated.
Ok so i should treat you fine because you want me to pay your medical bills? i dont think so.

But good people who smoke don't do that. Only the inconsiderate and the flat out douchebags.
Which is 99,99% of humanity.

Also, capcha got it right once again, smokers get: two left feet.
I never said I wanted you to pay my medical bills, this is why I have insurance. Remember not all countries have universal healthcare.
