I've got something I hate that people seem to love!

Inception. I have many reasons for this.

- Leonardo DiCaprio is, and always has been, an utter tool. He has never made a good movie, in my opinion. Titanic was boring and long-winded, Shutter Island was basically "They woke up and it was a dream", Catch Me If You Can was a jumbled mess, and the only good thing about The Departed was "Shipping Up To Boston" by Dropkick Murphys.

- The ending which EVERYONE knows by now, was entirely unnecessary. I'm sorry, but why couldn't they have wrapped it up instead of trying to be all deep and give the plot a few extra possibilities? It was just a terrible idea that was SOOOOO cliché.

- The movie idea in general was so iffy. Stealing/planting ideas from/into people's dreams? Seriously? No. Just plain ridiculous.

Oh, if you say "Oh, you obviously just didn't understand it hurr hurr derp!", no, fuck off, I understood perfectly what was going on, it was just overrated SHIT.
You obviously didn't understand it and your opinion about DiCaprio is just utterly ridiculous. Yep.

Lets see...

-I liked Final Fantasy the Spirits Within
-I like MGS2, even with Raiden replacing Snake. It was a nice change of pace. But I don't get why he needed to be naked for some time...
-I like Silent Hill 4
-I liked the Star Wars prequels.
-I liked Deus Ex Invisible War. Maybe a little bit more than the original game, not sure why though since DX1 was far superior.
-I liked Thief 3, though it is the weakest in the series. Shalebridge Cradle FTW!
-I didn't enjoy CoD4.
-I think Prince of Persia: Warrior Within was the best in the series.
-I liked Pathologic's translation problems.
-I liked the know-it-all AI from Far Cry.
-I liked Prototype.
-I liked the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels.
-Liked the Matrix trilogy.
-I loved Angel Beats, despite what most otakus think about it apparently. I'm not sure if this should be on the list though...
-I think Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the best series ever.

Will update list if I can remember anything else...

Also, I really enjoy the Halo series. So there!

When did these become things that separated people from the pack? People fawned all over Avatar, and any criticism I ever levied against Family Guy (Which weren't huge, mind) was met with massive amounts of hate for daring to "hate on" the series.

Hmm... Well, where should I start?

I fucking love Shoujo Romance anime, I'm a straight guy
Drrrr is much better than Baccano
Endless eight was the high point of Haruhi season 2 in my opinion.
Outlaw Star is so much better than Bebop, there's no contest.
FFVII was way overrated, and IV is probably the best game in the series.
I think The World Ends With You is an overall better game then the Kingdom Hearts ones. Even the original two.

Huh, I thought there'd be more than that.

Well anytime I bring the above mentioned things up on this site I get: "Halo is so stupid. Play something better"

"Avatar is so overrated! Go watch a deep movie"

There's plenty of hate for the popular. In fact, most things OP mentioned are quite popular to most, yet recieve tons of hate on this site.

I like the Star Wars Prequels. I like the OT more, but the PT was fun. I also think Halo is a bunch of fun and it's one of my favorite series. I liked the Sonic Adventure games (though none after) and I think Oblivion is better than Fallout 3.

I enjoyed every single CoD game ever and I think Michael Bay's alright, because, apart from the colossal failures of Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, his movies are pretty good.

On the opposite side of things, Avatar's a terrible movie I can't believe people enjoyed and Inception's an average movie I can't believe people enjoyed as much as they did. But, hey, tastes differ.

The Eragon series. This MAY be entirely due to my alternate interpretation of the story - that is, that it's the story of a D&D campaign through the eyes of a PC...

You know what? Despite everyone saying it sucked, I genuinely liked Halo Wars. Admittedly, it would have been way better on PC and the flood being in it was retarded, but I still liked it anyway.

*edit*

I also liked ODST as well and liked Bioshock 2.

-The Star Wars Prequels: (my interest in the entire gorram saga was th'jedi order so forgive me for finding the trilogy that actually has more jedi in it appealing...)
I've been sorta iffy with the Star Wars franchise. I used to love it all when I was a kid. But over the past few years, I've grown to really dislike the writing in the series as a whole. But I will admit that I actually like episodes 2 and 3 quite a bit because the special effects are pretty fucking sweet. I still dislike episode one because I found it incredibly boring. I've never been a fan of things that take place in deserts or tundras.

-Linkin Park (and yes, i'm including "Minutes to Midnight" and "A Thousand Suns"): True, they don't sound like they used to; true, they're gettin' pretty politically-heavy in their material, but it hasn't stopped from being good/original music!!!
"A Thousand Suns"? Is this their new thing? I haven't paid attention to them much in a while. I like the Park, but I don't listen to em too frequently. I need to be in the right mood to listen to them or they just don't sound as good to me.

-Dick Grayson Batman > Bruce Wayne Batman: Yes, Bruce was the original. But original doesn't automatically mean better! Grayson has damn-near all the skills of Bruce, but isn't tormented at all times...HE ACTUALLY HAS FUN WITH IT!!!
Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond is my personal favorite. I just hate how that series ended so abruptly when it had so much potential to out-do the original Batman. But Dick is definitely favorable to Tim Drake or the other Robin's that Bruce brings into the fold.

================================

So things I like that most people hate... Hm...

Sonic Adventure 2: Probably my favorite Sonic the Hedgehog game of all time. Yes, it's glitchy and has control issues. But I had fun with it and that's more than I can say for most of the 2D titles.

Star Fox Assault: I am one of the few dozen people in the world that probably liked this game as much as StarFox 64. Why? I liked driving around in the tank more than the arwing. I always found something cathartic about blasting down arwings with a Tank. I felt like I was outsmarting those swift sky-loving bastards. Plus the on-foot option was an interesting change of pace. I also liked Star Fox Adventures. Despite it not being much at all like the core series, it was probably one of the best adventure games I've played, better than most Zelda games I try out.

Not sure how different this makes me, but I'm a conservative individual. I dislike most of the stances that Democrats/Liberals have been making since I became politically interested (about 4 years before the last presidential election, which was 4 years before I was of voting age). But, at the same time, I am only fiscally conservative. When it comes to social issues, it really depends on what it is but I'm more open to the ideas of homosexual marriage and other stuff. I just hate it when the government is spending more than it should be on pointless shit it shouldn't be messing with.

I probably have more... but I should get to bed.

Yeah I guess it's okay. Some people just have poor taste in things. Just don't claim to like these things around me, or I'll tell you how wrong you are.

Although, I'm not sure what you mean by Grayson Batman
Dick Grayson (The original Robin, and later "Nightwing") took over as Batman when Bruce Wayne "died" in the comics. Since then, i've actually found myself more fond of Dick than Bruce, i just think that if you had all that money/all those toys, you'd be able to find SOME enjoyment out of what you do. And even though Dick lost his folks too, he hasn't lost that youthful spirit...he's always cracking jokes, even as Batman. So I get the best of both worlds in the Dick Grayson character, all the badassness of Batman, but with the sense of humor of a Spider-man character (i always found the ones who have fun with it more enjoyable...Bruce was just a tad too emo for me...)
I know who Dick Grayson is. I didn't know he ever took over as Batman though. Personally, I always felt Batman was supposed to be dark and gritty, one of the very few things that is. However your entitled to your opinion. Admittedly that Brave & the Bold series has proved to be amusing, if ridiculous.
And please don't use the word *choke* 'emo' again, it grinds what few nerves I have left to powder every time I have to hear/read it.

Yeah, it's the new album...they've only released a couple tracks to th'raido (to the best in of my knowledge) "The Catalyst", and "Waiting for the End"...although i highly reccomend "Wretches and Kings", and "Blackout" as well....

Oh yeah, i loved Terry McGinnis as well, but all of th'reasons i loved Terry for i love Dick for th'same reasons...with th'possible exception of th'fact that Terry had a cooler color scheme....
