Adam West is the definitive Batman.
See, i was cool (not agreeing with necessarily, but perfectly cool with) with all the things you mentioned, up until this one...

while i'm still not sayin' you're wrong (as that would eliminate the entire purpose of this forum), i still say that my favorite on-screen Batman is Micheal Keaton....or, (if he counts) Kevin Conroy because anything Batman related he has to do with is just GOLD!!!
I was kind of joking with that last one. Although I grew up with Adam West's Batman (before Keaton). So for me he really is my favourite. Hilarious. His original Batman movie is comedy gold. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb."

I'm pretty damn sure he's not the best representation of comic Batman though, but I don't know much about that. If I had to pick another, it would be Keaton. I still remember Letterman's joke - "Do you still remember where you were when you heard Keaton wasn't going to be Batman any more?"

- I love Caprica too. Slow paced and takes ages to pay off. It's nothing like the more popular (and good) Battlestar Galactica but the rise and fall - and rise - of Daniel Greystone is fascinating to watch.
- And just in case you're cool with that - I have laughed more than once at lolcats.

That should put me back in my uncool place.

But I'm still giving you shit for liking Twilight, you big sappy girl you.
So i guess it wouldn't help my case t'tell that my fave character in th'saga was Jacob (mostly because that was me in highschool...y'know, 'cept for th'whole "bein' a teenage-bodybuilding, native-american that could shapeshift into a wolf th'size of a pony"-thing...i was the quintessential "best-friend of th'girl who just saw him as a 'friend'")....

although in my defense, when she isn't dolled up to look like Alice, Ashley Greene is quite th'hottness!

While we're saying what we like that others don't: Nintendo wii is better then Playstation & Xbox, I do not care that there have been hundreds of Mario, Zelda etc. games because Mario, Zelda, Kirby are AMAZING! that is all.

Halo, CE through reach (not including wars) Almost every time halo pops up on this site, it's getting hated and people point out flaws I just can't see yet somehow I feel ashamed for playing it. I played CE when I was 8-ish, it was the first FPS for me and I played it with my dad; it was important to me. Now we've got Reach and it's only gotten better.

I liked DC's "Salvation Run" miniseries.
People don't like Salvation Run? That was good fun.

I also really liked DC's 52. And it seems that a lot of people didn't. I think they're crazy.

Dawn wasn't a terrible addition to the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Spider-Man 3 was the most expensive Sam Raimi movie ever made. And it was shot like it was the most expensive Sam Raimi movie ever made. And I get a big kick out of that for totally different reasons than the film wanted me to.

Superman Returns was awesome.

I didn't mind the resource gathering in Mass Effect 2.

I agree with you, I liked all 3 Matrix movies. I don't care what people say, for me, they were good. I also don't hate Twilight. I respect it for its popularity not content. And I don't care what you say about cartoon network, I still like it. Between having to watch educational shows (as if I don't see enough at school) and reality shows (which is a pile of crap-t.v. if you ask me) I'd rather watch cartoons all day. And some of the new shows are pretty good. Granted there are a few bad ones, generally they show o.k. cartoons. And the final one, I love the Wii. First major system with motion control, it has a great start and a rocky middle but I feel it has a slowly gradual increase in better games now, and I started as a Nintendo fan boy and I will die a Nintendo fan boy.

Nicolas Cage.

Great actor of his generation...bold statement...I KNOW.
That was what I was thinking. Maybe not great actor of his generation but he is a good actor all the same.
Also, I did like Metroid: Other M. I don't care if Samus looked like a whiny little girl or not. I liked the story, I liked the gameplay, and I enjoyed playing the game.

I'm not sure where i'm goin' with this, so we'll just see when i get there...i'm not even expecting anybody to respond to it so there y'go...

Y'know, i'm tired of all th'hate people are throwin' my way for some of th'things i'm into...i'm tired of having to defend myself....i mean sure, i like:

-The Star Wars Prequels: (my interest in the entire gorram saga was th'jedi order so forgive me for finding the trilogy that actually has more jedi in it appealing...)

-The Twilight Movies/books: (yes, i'm a straight male, and while i acknowledge that there are flaws (Meyer/Rice/whoever-the-hell-wrote-the-Vampire-Diaries bastardized the vampire myth...i remember when these guys were actually MONSTERS!!!), I do still find them somewhat enjoyable, and do look forward to seein' th'next couple films...

-Smallville: This one's the funniest on my list because i'm such a hardcore anti-Superman/pro-Batman fan...yet i found the show all kinds of entertaining, especially the later seasons when they introduced Green Arrow who is INFINATELY more interesting than Clark...and side-note, Michael Rosenbaum is THE GREATEST ON-SCREEN LEX LUTHOR EVER!!!

-The Matrix Films (yes, all 3 of them): I'm so tired of all the people that rant about "Oh, the first one was great but the 2nd and 3rd were SO HORRIBLE!"

-Linkin Park (and yes, i'm including "Minutes to Midnight" and "A Thousand Suns"): True, they don't sound like they used to; true, they're gettin' pretty politically-heavy in their material, but it hasn't stopped from being good/original music!!!

-Ke$ha: actually, i'm not sure if this one counts...though i'm a metalhead and have been for a very long time, i do find one out of every (perhaps) 572 pop-songs catchy...i actually think most of what Kesha does is horrible, but for some reason one of her songs in particular i just find catchy...can't explain it, but there y'go...i've also managed to find a few good ones out of:

-Kanye West (actually just th'one..."Stronger", and turns out my entire reason for likin' that one mostly had to do with the involvement of Daft Punk th'rest of what that man does i consider garbage)

-Boy bands in general (i'm not gonna list names, but if i'm bein' honest with myself, i've gotta say if you collect them all together, they've probably managed to squeeze out about 1 genuinely good song between each of 'em)

Oh...and on a side-note:

-Dick Grayson Batman > Bruce Wayne Batman: Yes, Bruce was the original. But original doesn't automatically mean better! Grayson has damn-near all the skills of Bruce, but isn't tormented at all times...HE ACTUALLY HAS FUN WITH IT!!!

Th'fact is, i'm not meanin' to step on anybody's toes, i'm not meanin' to offend, but as long as i'm bein' honest, i genuinely liked each of the things i just mentioned. I hate bein' in "fan circles" and bein' looked at like a gorram leper because i find something about these things appealing...i guess when ya get right down to it...

I LIKED 'EM DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is all.....

*Edit*

Ok...maybe not all...

because so many people have commented on this i feel the need to point out that i've already addressed my overuse of the apostrophe in my posts....please feel free to either get over it, or just ignore it as i've already said my peace on this with post #39 of th'forum, so please...GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT THIS!!!!

Sir,I applaud you for th'effort you go to to type in an accent!

Hey, man, why you gotta hate on people who like boy bands, Kanye West, Ke$ha, or Superman? *grins*
Welcome to the internet. Personally, I agree with you on about half of what you posted, and disagree with you on the other half. I don't feel a need to defend myself to anyone. I have enough self-esteem that I can enjoy what I enjoy without a need for approval from others. However, I also enjoy a good debate, so I spend a lot of time online defending my hobbies and tastes.
One thing that may help is the way you phrase things. I describe things as "good" and "enjoyable." To me, Van Halen isn't "good" music, but it's definitely "enjoyable." I can acknowledge that a lot of things I enjoy are lacking in quality, but that doesn't really hamper my enjoyment of them.

I love Halo and rate it as some of the most fun I've had in my gaming history.

I love Ashley Williams from Mass Effect and rate her as the best female in the series.

I loved 'Monsters', or at least I didn't hate it like Movie Bob did.

When I can think of others, I will return.

Well most people seem to not like bands like Attack Attack! Abandon All Ships, or Asking Alexandria. But I love them and I love all the electronic parts in their songs!

For whatever reason, I can't get into Full Metal Alchemist. I prefer FMA: Brotherhood. Which is odd, considering I rather like spellpunk regardless.

Also? I liked Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Somewhat childish storyline aside, the gameplay wasn't that bad.
Interesting, I was also not very font of Full Metal Alchemist. I might try out Brotherhood since I assume your tastes are at least somewhat similar to mine as you didn't like FMA.

while I do disagree with most of these opinions the fact that you used the word "gorram" must mean that you are a fan of Firefly. For this I forgive you of all sins related to liking things I do not.

Oh and I read the Twilight saga and they are better than the films but still not anything I want to read again. I also liked Brutal Legend when so many people hated it. HOW DARE YOU HATE A CREATION OF TIM SCHAFER'S!

So we post things we like that most people hate? Alright.

The Force Unleashed: Both games. I love em. Mindless fun and feelin like a Jedi.

K-On: Call the anime shit if you want, I think it's freaking hilarious.

Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny: I actually liked all the political power struggles and seeing each pilot's different motivations. It stayed interesting for me throughout.
Oh so right my friend: Haven't got the second one but the first one was just an absolute blast! I think it was a really good concept for a game as there are few things I can think of that can better playing a jedi!

I'm sorry, but are we watching a different movie or something? Because the one I remember had a good ending that wrapped things up fairly well, good acting, an interesting concept that is shown well in the movie and an antagonist that was quite different from the ones we have become used to.
.
I'd honestly have to agree, in part, with No_Remainders. I didn't think Inception was a shit movie, but I really didn't find it nearly as good as everyone thinks it is.

I liked Blade Kitten when it seems every critic calls it unmitigated shite. It was fun, quirky, and the level design was interesting.... and am I the only one that actually liked the protagonist?
I haven't gotten through it all yet, but what I've played so far I've enjoyed. I keep getting caught up in other games. And I really like Kit...

OT: I, for some ungodly reason at the age of 27, like a most of those Nickelodeon and Disney sitcoms. ICarly, Hannah Montanna, Zack and Cody, Wizards of Waverly place, etc. I've no idea why but I can't turn them off when they are on. I also liked both the Transformers movies and look forward to the next very much so. One of my more favorite new X-Men right now, is Pixie.

I tell you something, I fucking loved Shadow the Hedgehog.

It was a spin-off, he was a different character, they're allowed to mix it up if that happens. It also added some different combat choices and a ridiculously strange story. C'mon, you've seen worse stories out there.
