That's after the non-canonical Dark Side ending. He died in the true (Light Side) ending, and that leads into the sequel.

Ugh...

Alternate Timelines make me queasy.
From what we've been shown in trailers, this is the primary/true timeline.

Alternatively...

Utifrån vad vi har sett i trailers så är det här den primära/sanna tidslinjen.

Um... guys? His voice was in the original trailer for the game. I'd be more surprised if he WASN'T in the game.

I dont understand why people constantly say "its not canon" or "It doesn't fit in the timeline", when it is canon and it quite easily fits in the story line if you actually look it explains eveything perfectly in game. Yeah luke is the last hope of the jedi, all the other jedi have gone into hiding, and luke was the only one that was fighting and looking for the surviving jedi to unite them again.

Dude look at yours, It's both a jedi and a Kamen Rider, Luke's gonna have a run for his money.

OT: I guess that's cool, maybe we'll have a return to the wise Yoda, one with the force, and not any bullcrap about a flippity do lightsaber midget.

The trailers show that Vader cloned him. But he's not really dead, in the Tatooine DLC you kill Obi-Wan and then you have to fight his force spirit.

What I like best is dual lightsaber combat, never gets old.
Nope that was just a what if scenario the canonical ending shows that he dies to save the rebellion, however the DLC shows what would have happened if he had taken the other path and killed Vader for revenge instead of attacking Palpatine. He becomes Palpatines apprentice and hunts down the rebel alliance ie. Obi-Wan, Luke. BUT THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.

This game will be canon like the last one was, and for all those worried about plot holes don't be. The writers in TFU did an amazing job last time around and I'm sure they'll repeat that here with another masterpiece of storytelling. Besides isn't it a bit too early to be worried about plot holes in a 1 minute video.

And yet I will stubbornly continue to believe that Force Unleashed is an alternate reality to the Star Wars I've grown to adore.

He's called Starkiller for Gods sake. Starkiller!

Alternatively...

Och ändå kommer jag att hålla mig fast vid tron att Force Unleashed är en alternativ verklighet till det Star Wars universum som jag har växt upp med och älskar.

Han heter Starkiller för helvete, Starkiller!

My first thought as well mate.

However my second thought was money>coherent story in the eyes of Lucas arts.

I actually do tend to have similar thoughts about a lot of the Expanded Universe material. Especially the books that take place after the original trilogy.

I'm not objecting to TFU yet, since I think it fits pretty well between the two trilogies. The one thing that doesn't fit is how exaggerated the Force powers are, but it's pretty much established that those are scaled up or down depending on the medium the story is presented through.

EDIT: And Starkiller is just an alias given to Galen Marek by Vader, anyway. Maybe the guy still has a sense of humor somewhere in there. :p

EDIT2: I suppose I could say "in continuity, but taken with a grain of salt".

EDIT3: Look, I edited again. :D

I have been looking forward to this sequel. I do like the improved graphics, they appear to be quite well-done, at least as far as the cinematic goes. I often dislike a developer trying to show off how good their game is based only on the cinematics, then the in-game graphics look terrible compared to those.
Doesn't bug me they put Yoda into this game. At least he is a familiar character, and he makes more sense than the Yoda-esqe character they put into KOTOR... where the hell did that guy come from anyway?
So for all who are already biting away at the fact Yoda is in this, be glad they didn't choose to go with Jar-Jar!

There has been some debate amongst Star Wars Expanded Universe fans, if Starkiller somehow used the transfer essence [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Transfer_essence] technique when he died in the first game, and if his spirit now lives on his clone body. That is, if it is a clone body.

In the last game, after Starkiller came back from Raxus Prime and defeating Kazdan Paratus, Vader "killed" him to satisfy his master Sidious. Going as far to Force throw him out of a space window and into the vaccum of space, after he stabbed him through his body. That would be enough to kill any Force-user, but Vader managed to get a droid to recover Starkiller's body from space, have his wounds treated, and he survived.

So it makes people wonder if he did die or not. To further prove my point, in the Legacy [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Legacy_comics] comics, which takes place over 137 years after the end of Episode IV a New Hope, the main villian Darth Krayt died in the story Vector part 12. However, we then learn he is alive in the story Extremes part 2. They have yet to explain how he survived, but the idea of Force-users surviving after something that should of killed them has happened before.

What I'm saying is, we'll have to wait and see if it's just an ordinary clone of his, or if there's more than meets the eye to him.
