There are so many untapped cool stuff in the star wars universe. Why do they have to rehash old characters and old locations from the first movies? Yes those were the best but come on! There has got to be one creative mind left at Lucas Arts!

Seriously? why did they have to bring Yoda into this?
Isn't Yoda one of if not THE only Jedi alive?

I hope the PC version is better than the piece of shit TFU was. I can run Crysis and GTA IV but I could not run TFU. I played it on the console and liked it for the most part though.

The point of them is basically that the Jedi get to retain their identities even after their "deaths", and have a way of passing on their knowledge to Jedi they would have otherwise been unable to make contact with.

Now, as I recall, Starkiller left behind a dead body, so I doubt he'd have a "ghost". He may be powerful, but it was Qui-Gon's wisdom that enabled him to reach that state even after his death. It'd be an interesting idea, though, and might be why Starkiller "Beta" recovered his memories to begin with. The "ghost" somehow put them in there while the clone was sleeping in its pod.
When Vader died in Return of the Jedi he became a ghost even tho his body remained intact. I suspect Obi-Wan vanished as he did because a more realistic death by lightsaber scene would mean the movie couldnt have been rated PG.

Maybe Alpha possesed Beta?
Actually, the canon states that Anakin's body vanished, and only the armor of Vader was left behind for Luke to destroy.

Sure, but none of them were in a state where they could defeat the Empire and re-establish the Jedi Order.
Right then no. But the Empire had only been in existance for 20 years. To paraphrase Jolee from KOTOR - Empires rise and then heroes rise to take them down and cycle starts all over again.

Luke was not the ONLY hope is the point I'm making. Best hope maybe, but not ONLY.

How did Anakin's body disappear? We all saw him die in Luke's arms. Qui-Gon's body didn't disappear either and he still became a ghost.

I dont understand why people constantly say "its not canon" or "It doesn't fit in the timeline", when it is canon and it quite easily fits in the story line if you actually look it explains eveything perfectly in game. Yeah luke is the last hope of the jedi, all the other jedi have gone into hiding, and luke was the only one that was fighting and looking for the surviving jedi to unite them again.
Fanboys are blinded by the original trilogy.

OT: I'll have a look out for the game. I'll buy it and love it. Especially because I know Yoda is in it.

I'm a original trilogy fan, and these games don't bother me in the least. I had fun in the first one and story was fine by me. I'm not really bothered by books or games in terms of canon.

No.

Want a longer answer? How about this link?
There is a known survivors list at the bottom of the page. [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Great_Jedi_Purge]

Google: Always there to find all the answers to all your questions in a second.

There is a lot of griping about the story, or lack of one. I think it does wonders for the game for the story to be so simplistic. This is like a gratuitous action movie, it's fan service for those fans that are not Star Wars geeks. Everything is over the top, and the cameos are there for those fans.

It disappeared off-screen. A retcon. Basically, when the camera turned away from Anakin/Vader, he still had a faint spark of life, and then shed his corporeal form and became the spectral form we saw later. Luke then dragged the armor with him to Endor.

As I understand the material I've been reading, Qui-Gon was already dead when he discovered the technique. That's why his body remained.

So he learned the technique after dying? If so the Alpha could also learn it.

Details are scarce, but Yoda referred to Qui-Gon being able to do so due to his wisdom, while there have also been references to him learning it from some sort of Shaman who had already achieved immortality.

But, then again, Anakin also learned the technique on his own, since it wasn't taught to him, just through his strong connection to the Force.

So it's possible, but personally I'll at least find it unlikely until presented with more information.

Face fucking palm.

This is fucking terrible. Yoda settles on Dagobah because the cave's dark side presence hides his own Force "signature". TFU1 raped the canon enough, but this is just the stuff of nightmares.

Yes I know, my point was even tho Starkiller died at the end of the canon ending, he would be able to come back as a Force Spirit. Keeping it in line with the Emperor's "He's more powerful than ever." speech at the end.
Palpatine referred to Galen having become a symbol to the rebellion.

Well no, Obi-Wan is still alive.

Regardless, they dont need to go to the same planet, cave, and jedi master that Luke did in the 5th movie. This is just piss-poor fan service

Great; now I have this image in my head of an epic battle between Yoda and Doomsday*.

BTW, Yoda would win.

(*The actor who lent his face and voice for Starkiller is the same actor who played as the human form of Doomsday in Smallville. Which, season 8 ended horribly, by the way.)

Noticed that my self, and yes it did, Season 9's finale was better though.

Wasn't a huge fan of TFU I, but this looks a bit more promising. Very nice graphics, flow and animation in this cut scene.

To buy or not to buy.

THAT is the question.

The first one was a unbalanced mistake thanks to overpowered enemies and a lightsaber that wasn't a lightsaber.
tell me pray? what game did you play? overpowered enemies you say?
nay, not in the TFU they let me play
Enemies that have overpowered homing missiles that will hit you no matter how hard you try to dodge their projectiles.

Enemies that have shields that stop A LIGHTSABER.

Enemies that can do an attack to knock you down and you stay knocked down because of the relentless AI.

I hate the waiting game too.

I hope this DOESN'T get released on the PC. Lucas already fucked up the first one and proved how much they suck in porting their games (to be fair, they gave it to Aspyr and they suck, on the other hand, they gave it to Aspyr, and they SUCK).
Dunno what game you played, I have Force Unleashed for the PC and it runs beautifully.

I said this in an earlier post, but I can run Crysis and GTA IV, but I can't run TFU, it's a really really bad port.
