Thanks for the disclaimer. As someone who checks StatCounter somewhat regularly, I agree that they are more generous to newer versions of IE and to non-IE browsers than most sites of its type.
I've used Firefox ever since literally my first day at college. Like, not even the first day of classes; the day I
moved in. They had it on the lab computer down the hall from my dorm, and I noticed it and was like "Hey I've heard of Mozilla, what are they up to these days?" That was back when it was still in beta. Literally version 0.9. Discovered tabs and never went back. When IE7 came out, I took one look at its interface and went "Yeeeeaaaaaaah no".
Now, as a Web developer, I
need Firefox for some of the developer tools and plugins. I only use IE for testing, and even then only when the client sees something wrong. Officially, IE8 is supposed to render standards-compliant pages the same as everyone else; in practice... well, at best IE8 is our final say in whether the code is
really standards-compliant or not, and at worst there are still some inconsistencies.
I'm curious what all these sites are that only render properly in IE though. In the six years I've been using Firefox, I've never encountered one.

Speaking as a Web developer, you people are the bane of my existence. THE BANE I SAY!!!
