Hmm. My 18th was fairly unimpressive. Stayed at home, studied, had family over. Or was that my 17th? Who can remember? My 21st though, that was a good night. Brought a bunch of college friends out to my house, we had good food, loud music, one guy accidentally got faceplanted in the tiles outside, and two people had sex in my brother's bed without realising that he was passed out in it at the time. Ah, good times.

]Happy Birthday : )

I turned 18 last year (My birthday's next month). I just bought two games (Arkham Asylum and Blazeblue: Calamity Trigger)
Sort of snap. My brother got me Arkham Asylum for my 18th as well.

On-topic. Nothing in particular. I had beer at the end of the day and that was about it.

Edit: Oh and Happy Birthday Mighty Lighty.

I actually graduated from high school on my 18th birthday. Beyond that I don't think I did anything special. Big celebrations were never really my thing.

I can sympathize with your situation, as today is my 20th birthday and I still haven't finished my last paper of the school year yet.

On my own. My girlfriend's parents punished her for the whole month--I think it had something to do about grades, but they often did everything they could to keep us separated. While I saw her at school during the day, I went home and spent a quiet evening without her. We might have snuck a call at some point, though I don't remember it if we did.

As my birthday is on St. Patrick's day, I always get a day off and usually spend it consuming drugs and having fun, but on my 18th bday I remember feeling pretty lousy so I didn't do anything, just sat around my house until my parents took me out to dinner.

In the years since then I haven't really celebrated my birthday in any way, more so St. Patrick's day itself, like last year I went to 2 house parties and got wasted drunk and high off my ass. Year before same thing. Never even tell people its my birthday.

EDIT: I remember now that my brothers 21st was about a week before my 18th, I think my mum tried to incorporate celebrating my birthday into that somehow, but I was waaaaaay to smoked to be the center of any sort of attention that night, literally sat in the corner of the room with my eyes hanging out of my head listening to a guy who I thought was actually Neil Young perform on a stage no bigger than a coffee table.

I did nothing, really. Went out for a meal with family and girlfriend, that's about it. Not much of a celebratory kind of guy.

What a great day :3
Be honest, everyone. Most of us did exactly this.

Next Tuesday on my 19th, however, I'm doing a 6 person LAN party with my friends. So it will be just like last year, only I won't be forever alone.

Had it all planned to go out with friends. Another set of twins we were friends with had a van so they always picked everyone up - they also weren't drinkers so they were our DDs. They were to gather everyone and then pick up my sister and I before we headed out to some pub or something. I forget.

However, these girls were always known for being incredibly late as well. As we knew this, we told them (and let everyone else know) an hour earlier than intended.

My sister and I got all fixed up, then sat down to wait for them as we knew they'd still be a bit late.

... They didn't show until two hours past the real (not one hour earlier) time we'd given them. Basically, they were three hours late. All our friends had to wait that long for them, too. When they finally did show up, my sister went and hopped in... I went up to the window, proceeded to tell them how inconsiderate they were and how upset and disappointed I was, and then went back inside.

My sister had a nice time, I think. I would have been too pissed off to enjoy it even if I had gone.

We stayed friends until University life pulled us apart due to different areas of study.

Edit: The day of, we'd been working with Japanese Exchange Students and it was a day spent having a BBQ at the park with their homestay families and such, so it was a nice day. I even got a clover-woven crown from the girls. Took them forever to make it.

18th was my favorite. My folks neve waited to plan a birthday dinner or anything they'd give me my birthday presents right when I woke up in the mourning an anyone else who got me something just gave it to me when ever I saw them. My parents got me a new laptop which I spent all mourning wiping uselss microsoft programs etc and playing Doom 3. Then I went to my friends place to party there got REALLY drunk (half a 2,6 or crown in about and hour and a half?. Smoked lots of weed and did some mushrooms. Then later in evening was tricked into taking viagra thinking it was ecstacy, by one of my best friends. That shit works so well it HURTS, and I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone under the age of 80 with the E and that combined my heart was pumping so fast I thought I was gonna die or stroke out. Never had a birthday quite like that one since.

Did almost everything you can do while the novelty still lasted. Drank, smoked, gambled, went into sex stores, you know all the regular fun stuff.

Happy birthday to you, good sir.

For my 18th birthday, I don't know. Worst case scenario, I go out with my cousins, provided one of them doesn't be an ass to me. I'll be moving in a few weeks back to my home state and off to community college I go! So for my birthday, hopefully I'll have some friends to hang out with. But again, worst case scenario I do something with my family that aren't my parents. My Aunt and I share a birthday, so we might just go to a bar together.

If I remember right, I spent mine at my older brother's since no one wanted to deal with me at home. At some point, I started questioning my adultness since I still loved (and still do) sugary cereals.

Don't worry - I went to my mom's this weekend and found her eating Fruit Loops and playing video games. You never grow out of it.

Sine my birthday is mid n July, I believe I was royally drunk. The family at noon and then friends and downtown at night. I seem to recall great amounts of alcohol was consumed.

My 18th birthday was the 24th of May.

I was suffering from an illness I'M STILL SUFFERING FROM.
THAT HAS RUINED MY CONFIDENCE, MADE ME VERY DEPENDENT, AND RANDOMLY MAKES ME NAUSEAOUS.
I'M AWFUL AT MY EXAMS BECAUSE OF IT AND MAY FAIL TO GET INTO UNIVERSITY.
I HAD NO PRESENTS OTHER THAN MONEY BECAUSE I FAILED TO THINK OF ANYTHING TO ASK FOR, AND I DIDN'T MANAGE TO FINISH MY CAKE BEFORE THE EXPIRY DATE.
I KEEP FEELING I'M FINE AND RECOVERING AND THEN IT COMES BACK.

I MAY NOT BE HEALTHY IN TIME FOR CELEBRATING WITH MY FRIENDS AFTER EXAMS. THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT MY BIRTHDAY.

I HAVE RUN OUT OF THINGS TO OCCUPY MY TIME THAT DON'T REQUIRE FOCUS, AND THAT DON'T CONTAIN ANY DARK OR DPERESSING THEMES. THIS IS THE FIRST TIEM I'VE DECIDED TO COME DOWN STAIRS TO USE THE COMPUTER SINCE FRIDAY.

I visited my doctor again today and they still can't tell me what I have, or if I even still have my virus and not an after virus effect. I have ANOTHER prescription, for pills I probably can't manage to swallow, and I feel like crying again.

My 18th? Well it was only a few months ago, I remember it pretty well. First I went for a pint with the family, then I met up with my friends, went back to my place, got completely wasted, woke up the next day and cleaned the house with a hangover.

Great brithday.

Honestly I don't remember my 18th birthday at all. No I wasn't drunk as my birthday had alawys been mudane at best (my family ain't exactly the celebriting type when it come to birthdays).
My birthdays had always been getting birthday cards and my parent saying "Happy Birthday" and getting cash from them. My brother on the other hand would had gotten something I wanted. When I was younger I used to get a cake and going out somewhere (usually into the city to buy stuff) but not anymore.
