Well, I got 2 early Christmas presents. My first was from Microsoft. The last update caused a strange issue with my 360 where it wouldn't play 360 games. Plays DVDs and Xbox originals just fine, but with 360 games all I get is "Open Tray". So, I call 'em up, go through the procedure to get it replaced, then I'm told that I have to pay for what they broke.

My second was from my mother. When I called her ranting about how horrible customer service was for MS, I find out that she'd planned on getting me a new game as a present. So she says she'll get me a new 360 too. I walk her through the order process, telling her repeatedly to just get the arcade version as my hard drive will work with it. Well she sneaks and gets me a shiny new Elite console, L4D and L4D2, and my wife a copy of Sims 3. So, yeah, awesome. Now I've just gotta figure out where I put my memory card so I can transfer my save games.

I got myself a sweet harp. It's only one octave, so it's really small and you wear it on a chain around your neck.

I got the realization that the entire western world is under the sway of a youth targeting propaganda event of epic proportions.

And a successful one at that.

All hail New Year as the advent celebration.

As many already said, tomorrow's Christmas. Also, I didn't really have a definite Christmas list, so I can't even guess very well.

Christmas is actually celebrated on the 24th in some countries.

As for myself, I skipped the whole christmas thing.
Again.
Instead I decided to buy myself things I knew I'd appreciate.
The Steam Holiday Sale has provided me with ample opportunities to do so.

We alway open presents the afternoon before, but that's only because the rest of the family is, every year, determined to be over here for Christmas lunch at no later than the crack of dawn ( 0_o ), so there is no time to do it Christmas morning.

...and waiting until they leave after greatly overstaying their welcome is just crazy.
