Look at your comment, now back to mine. Now back at your comment now back to mine. Sadly it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through comments, writing the comment your comment could look like. What did you post? Back at mine, it's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again the reply is now diamonds. Anything is possible with legitimate comments. I'm in a chair.

I hit the trolls with their own material, for instance "Then who was phone?" tends to either earn their resepct and end the trolling or just leave them dumbstruck.

I try to have a conversation with said troll that doesn't pertain to much of anything.
They say "U mad?", I tell them "No, I've never gone skydiving."
"Cool story bro"? I say "I disagree, I think Boba was the better Fett."
Stuff like that. Oh, and I call them Shirley. No reasoning behind it, but all the ones I've talked with for some reason hate it.

you are in a forum making point after point and a troll pops up and starts trolling you

you eventually get annoyed and decide to put your mind to the test...

What do you say that...

A) Shuts the troll up
B) gets everyone else in the forum on your side
and C) gets a HUGE laugh

I never report trolls since they tend to add to the conversation. And I'd feel bad for stifling speech of any quality.

I know I have said some trollish things as jokes and gotten suspended. I can understand a few times, but when they were blatantly obvious jokes I was a bit more upset (For instance, someone said that eventually someone would say Minecraft was horrible. I did for lulz. Suspended.). *shrugs* Different strokes. As long as it's not purposely and actually racist or purposely and actually sexist I see no prob.

I just don't comment at all. That's exactly what trolls want: comments and attempts at witty comebacks. The best way to fend off a troll is to not feed them.
