Jesus... Got enough manga there?
Of course not.

Meh, not a bad collection, but it seems that you started a few series and stopped before it really went anywhere. I mean, you have two volumes of Kare Kano, but most of Ai Yori Aoshi. Just stick to it and your collection should fill out.

Myself? I collect anime... or did for a time. When I say that I have every anime released in the US between 1997 and 2004 it's not that far off. Sure, I didn't buy any Yaoi and I'm pretty sure alot more hentai was released between those years than what I bought, but I had a serious consumer problem. Some of them I have on both VHS and DVD. Boxes and boxes of anime, a few of them not even out of their plastic wrap. I have literally thousands of tapes and DVDs. I actually used to watch them all every year. One of my oldest, the VHS copies of record of lodoss war, was actually ruined from too much use. Nowdays I pull out a few titles every once and a while and enjoy them. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not over my anime addiction, I just satisfy it with fansubs fresh out of japan. I buy a few titles each year, but my limited income would not support such a severe addiction like what I had in my early 20's.

Oh, and I collect RPGs too. Every SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1 and 2, Xbox and Xbox 360 rpg has a place in my collection, along with most of the good PC rpgs that have come out in the last 13 years. I'm kinda a packrat, so I never sell any of my sweet stuff.

It has just no occurred to me that you have spent money on Bleach. I question Drow, why you would do this terrible, terrible thing?

Also you hate Oda's artstyle. Why?
Because I prefer reading things in print than online.

And there's something about the eyes, mouths, and general sorta-exaggerated features that rubs me wrong.

That's all of Ai Yori Aoshi, 17 volumes. You kidding? I starting buying them the instant they came out around volume 11.

If anything is unfinished on that particular shelf, it's because I lost interest (Gals, Yugioh), I've just started building (Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei, Chrono Crusade), or I got the manga from somewhere I can't remember and haven't even read (Kare Kano). Or because I'm waiting for the next volume (FMA).

I still have to go through all the manga in those two baskets, as well. I'm pretty much out of shelf space (there's far more than just the comics), so it'll be a while...

So cool.
say where do you buy them is it a local or online store?
I got them from <url=http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/3889/1000718l.jpg>these <url=http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6551/1000717q.jpg>things, mostly (I only have one from a different source, a Saber figure I bought at San Diego Comic Con).

Sadly, I no longer have access to those machines. There's an inconveniently large body of water in the way. But it was great while it lasted...especially after I figured out how much those things normally cost.

Well, I have a large Gundam model collection. As of this thread, I have 45 models, about 20 figurines, and one Gurren Lagann figure. I also have 90-something video games on my shelf, and a poster of John Belushi in his Samurai costume. YAY NERD!

Edit: I also have the Gundam Beam Saber toy that makes noises when you swing it. So much embarassment to be had...

May I suggest on Drow's behalf that he try a library? When I read Bleach (though I stopped at around volume 13 or something) I did that because manga volumes are expensive. Of course, having a librarian mother helps.

Allow me to completely miss the point and be the annoying fanboy you all know me as: is that a Nanoha figurine in that first picture? Granted, it's from StrikerS, which seemed to kill off some of the series' charm (though I'm only up to episode 14, maybe it'll improve), but still.

On topic, I have a small but kinda decent coin collection from years ago. I don't display it, though, I just have them lying under my captain's bed.

I've got a large Jolly Roger flag hanging on the wall above my bed, one of the first things everyone see when they enter the room. My sword collection hangs on the wall opposite that, and over the slingle large window hangs a Yin/Yang chinesse dragon tapestry to keep the light out (glare on the TV and monitor is bad, m'kay?).
are you a chinese pirate?! I have a sitload of books and my old ps2 game collection.

I just might be!

You don't say.

As for Bleach, it's not about reading online or not. IT'S ABOUT IT NOT DESERVING YOUR MONEY. It hasn't been genuinely good in ages.
Different exaggerations. The closest I've ever seen another manga character get to Luffy is probably Shinji from Bleach (who doesn't look like he has lips; something makes his grin really creepy).

And which ages are you talking about? I haven't gotten to the Hueco Mundo arc, yet, if that's what you're referring to. Early stories and Soul Society were pretty good.

Beats me. I only started watching Nanoha about a year after I got back from Japan.

Besides, something like that isn't terribly surprising. You shoulda seen what's on the other side of those machines (mostly closed-in area; far more inappropriate stuff).

I think that what best describes my collection habits is that I am a collector of acquisitions. That is, everything I strive for is suppose to be hard to find AND something that I like. That makes for a customized and challenging search. In short, it's fun. Here's an example-list of things that I acquired or look for.

A Meta-Knight plushie,
Various swords, including a Kenpachi Zaraki blade (from Bleach),
The Uzumaki live-action movie,
A Guy Fawkes Mask,
Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" collection,
Persona 2: Innocent Sin and the means to play it,
An army-surplus gasmask,
And even Tokyo Babylon, which is supposedly out of print.

Effin'. Smurf. Plushy.

That's it, but it always gets a double take... I went trick-or-treating as a smurf this/last year.

I see...remind me to stay away from your state/province/municipality/regional area...

Well, i like organization and keeping them neat and shapr. You never know when ill need to kill a bear or survive out in the wilderness.
Eh, I don't go outdoors, so I prefer having them close enough to grab and sling at an assailant. I actually sleep next to a 9-inch survival knife made for search-and-rescue teams. The nearly-twin knives I do carry on my person at all times, however, are the ones I take special care of and the only ones I bother to take with me outdoors. Unless I'm camping. then the aforementioned S&W 9inch cock substitute come along in case anything furry needs to be murdered
