Your 'Fanatic' Game

Opinion's a flexible thing, doubly so when it comes to allowing the opinions of others to pass on verbally however much they may clash with your own views on gaming.
That said, what would you say is the one game you absolutely can't tolerate being verbally (or in the case of the internet 'textually') abused by someone else?

Personally I'd go with Metroid Prime or one of its sequels. Flaws yes, but a bad game? Never.

Just don't say anything bad about Plants vs. Zombies okay!

Also, Silent Hill 2, the Diablo franchise, the WarCraft franchise, Wizardry Gold, the Dungeon Keepers, and Majesty.

And any other game I happen to like. Jerks.

Super Mario RPG. You CANNOT dis that game. There is NOTHING bad about it. It's fun, it's epic, and it's funny as hell.

I get annoyed when anyone doesn't give a game a chance for more silly reasons. Like Bayonetta for the titular character.

chess. i think it's a truly outstanding game, and some of what people say about it really ticks me off.

i'm ok if you don't like playing chess for whatever reason, and i can generally ignore most comments made about me for playing it, but i will become angry with people who decide that because i play chess, i am a racist.

Hell yes. Timesplitters will never die. Even if Free Radical has.

Also, I used to be this way with Half-Life 2 when it came out, mostly due to it's overshadowing by Halo 2.

Well partially Halo, because while I don't see it as a flawless game, it gets so much undeserved hate these days. So flame away, but keep this in mind, I don't think Halo is perfect, I think it's great, and doesn't deserve the hate it gets. *Vrex, feel free to hop in at any time*

I'm that way about The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. Say one bad thing about them and you'll meet my nerd-wrath. Same with Monkey Island.

Depends if the opposing views are valid or not.

Theres some games i like despite the fact they may have large flaws, i don't see how someone pointing that out is a bad thing.
It's the same reason i like the ZP reviews, the Fable reviews are some of my favourite despite Yahtzee giving both games a royal trashing!

As long as it doesn't get too repetitive, I think that game is going to be amazing.

That's an interesting question. If someone criticised some of my most well loved games then I think it would be water off a duck's back. Maybe they just don't like that sort of game.

There are other games that I like a lot that I have heard being dismissed or attacked for some reason that make me think, "you smug prick, you don't really love or know games, get out of my sight." Some of those might be Dungeon Master 2, Flashback, and I'm not mentioning more recent games as they might still start a flame war.

i dont really give it too much mind to what other people say of any particular game, only so if the guy obviously havent played the game, then i would hunt him down and tie him up untill he finished the game, and then, if he says it´s still crap i would say "well, THATS YOUR OPINION"

and go away running and screaming frantically
