Alright, I checked the first page for this topic and nothing came up that was remotly related so I'm sure this is originial. Now, there were a lot of wars in the past, the 100 years war, crusades, vietnam, WW2. I'm not saying that war is fun (Ok maybe it is to "Those who have not experienced it") I'm asking for the war you find most intresting. This can be any minor squabble to major war in history. As for me, I'd say it's a tie between the crusades, 1000/100 (Probably 100, I forget the name...) years war, or whatever they call that extermination of the Lithuanians by the Order.

Edit: If you hate war and think it's evil and such, so do I. That doesn't mean I'm not intrested in it. So if you're going to post somthing like "I have no favourite war because war is bad." that has nothing to do with this thread so it's pointless to post at all.

most likely word war 2, it was the first modern war and they had some really interesting technology.

The Anglo-Zanzibar War in 1896. 38 minutes of pure pwnage.

A close second would be the Winter War. Don't mess with Finland.

What a strange question. Can't say I've ever had a favourite since... yeah that would be a little bit weird.

Word War 2? Is that like a debate on a global scale? :D

And technically, I would have to say that WWI was the "first" of the modern wars, since it introduced tanks, airplanes, and poison gas in a combat role. It was also one of the first to not use the standard rank and file fighting style.

The American Civil War. It did so much for this country. Without that war, the country probably wouldn't have made it to WW1, much less help defeat the Nazis later on.

id say WW2. without Nazi Germany, things like the Jet Plane or the Assault Rifle wouldnt have ever been made. while Hitler was a cruel and evil man, without him, our world wouldnt be the same.

My favourite event in which men gave their lives? Might as well ask me my favourite way to be tortured or to kill a baby...

USSR

Probably your average communist.

It's the Hundred Years' War.

Anyway, I find most wars are pretty boring - back when we had interesting weapons, the death counts were relatively low, and now that we have boring weapons, the death counts are almost acceptable, but not quite there.
Eh, I'm quite the opposite. I find the middle ages to be facinating and all of the recent wars to be boring. Now with nukes war will be boring as ever (Major ones). Not just boring, stupid as hell, one war could end the world. *Shrug* That's just me though.

America didnt do shit in Europe during world war 2. the americans just keep saying they did all the hard work. D-Day wasnt an important event, since the Soviet Union was already stomping on Germany´s hands, wearing spiked boots.

WWII because the world wouldn't be what it is today without it, not sure if that's good or bad, also, a lot of my family died to protect a failed ideal, so much passion for such a gross misuse of lives (yes the soviet front) the possibilities were endless.... also, just WWII in general because i love my Mosin Nagant 91/30 and Garand, beautiful guns, awesome to shoot.

edit:200th :D

It was also the last war in which bio weapons were "War legal".

Yeah! Favorite:

Three Hundred and Thirty Five Years' War: lasted over 335 years with no casualties! Between the Netherlands and the Isles of Scilly.
