Well, first job was on a farm called "masker's orchard". Not a high paying job, only 5 bucks an hour but was only on the weekends and I got to hang with a lot of my buddies. Plus, "work" was almost non-existent as we sat around most of the time, played music, talked a lot and checked cars for apples (as I was an "apple checker") to make sure they weren't stealing. And I got to say, not to sound racist but A LOT of Asians would try to steal apples. I don't see why, their apples, do they REALLY need ten friggin' bags of them? But I digress...

Anyway, my first real job (with decent pay) is currently working at a shoe store called "Bass". Never heard of it? Neither did I until like 2 months ago. And here I am with the job and thanks to it, was able to afford my new gaming computer so I'm happy :D

My first job was at a supermarket. As far as jobs go, it wasn't bad. Most of my bosses were pleasant. I worked there for about a year and a half, and quit because I didn't want to work two jobs again, and my summer job was starting, and I wouldn't be able to continue working once school started, so the job seemed excessive.
(I was paid FAR more for my summer job for doing comparable amount of work.)

I started out working for a cafe in a bookstore. And god, I have horror stories about that place. Mostly involving stupid customers or bookstore events that I was required to work (like the Harry Potter 6 & 7 release parties).

Now, I work for Starbucks and I'm grateful for the training that first job gave me, but ugh I'd never do it again.

My first job (and the one I still have) is at Sears. I unload the trucks, sort the boxes, unbox the clothes, ink tag the clothes, put heavy stuff on shelves, individually scan every item to assign it to a shelf, load up cars (with a five minute time limit), take in repairs, bring out repairs, chase down a manager to ring the repairs (I'm not allowed to run a register), take in layaways, bring out layaways, get a manager to run a return when we frequently lose a layaway, answer the phones, respond to pages, deal with a complex system of locks and storage areas, and deal with angry customers. Keep in mind, we sell treadmills, lawnmowers, tractors, and weight benches. Someone gets horribly injured every month or so. I've worked there two years and I've never made a cent over minimum wage. If I work nights, the managers ***** that we don't have anything to do, so they give us busy work like gathering carts, cleaning, or assembling merchandise for displays. I have a degree in Business Administration by the way and I've been desperately seeking other employment with no success.

Kitchen Hand at Pizza Hut... barely minimum wage, boss who could barely read english and couldn't write it, shithouse hours (any variation of 6-10 to 8-12 usually friday, saturday, sunday and occasionally monday. Lets see, the guy in the fish and chip shop next door got shot one night about five minutes after I left and the place got robbed on a night I was supposed to be working. It was around that time that I decided to find another job
