I liked dead space 2, even though i find it is more a shooter.
Like FF13 (although mainly the cutscenes, just make a dam good movie square!!!)
Looking forward to FF13-2
Love fallout tactics.
hated fable 1&2, found them boring and havn't played the 3'rd
hate assassin's creed (all of them have flaws to me)
liked Deux ex invisible war (hadn't played the first at that time, thought average shooter with ok story, bad voice acting)
Didn't know you could jump in Republic Commando until you needed to clear some pipes in the derelict vessel

edit: i also love Vanquish (something bout sliding around with slo-mo blowing shite up)

I did one, you did one, every gamer did one. What am I talking you ask? Well, a Gaming Capital Sin is a opinion you may have that is so contraditory to the general opinion that it could be considered a sin, like liking what it´s generally considered a reeeeeeally crappy game Too Human
I guess this could be one of mine, I actually liked Too Human, it wasn't a masterpiece sure. But I thought it was pretty good and I would love to see how it plays out.

But my main one would have to be that I've NEVER played through Final Fantasy 7 and I don't really care to. I know it gets better once you leave Midgar but I honestly can't be bothered to even get through there. I guess that would be my main one.

I used a walkthrough to play Blue Dragon on the first attempt...not because it was hard but because i wanted to max all the achievements in one playthrough. I don't do that anymore until i've finished a game at least once.

I think Mass Effect 2 is one of the worst sequels ever.

I prefer turn based games to reaction games.

I think the single player campaign on all the Call of Duty games are excellent

I look down on PC gamers as the lowest form of gaming life

The list goes on and on...
for the statement about PC gamers, you are going to hell. How about the endless Xbox playing teenagers who can't form sentences other than: lol, noob. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUU!!!! and so on? Ok, i admit, we, the PC gamers have our share of those also, not so many though. Seing that you prefer turn based games i immediately thought you were a smart, rational, thinking person. But now i see you as an imbecile. The lowest form of gaming life exists on the PC(MMORPG-s) but don't dismiss a whole race just because of one fraction.
I'm suprised you understood so completely lol, i was indeed talking about MMO players. But it's also the elitism that PC gamers seem to exhibit, even when they are vastly outplayed by me, a console player ;o)

I used to be a PC gamer but found that i'm not quite far enough up my own arse to mingle with the crowd ;o)
good that we found some common ground here... phew, almost thought ill start a flame war here xD.

I find Final Fantasy IX the best Final Fantasy ever. Better than FF IV, VI, VII or X (that's all the big fan-favorites, right?)

I find Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call to be better than Persona 3 or 4.

I don't like Uncharted. I mean, the technology behind it is amazing, but neither gameplay nor story can keep my interest. I just don't find it as interesting (unique?) as Crash Bandicoot or Jak & Daxter.

I consider myself a big lover of platformers, but I did NOT enjoy Super Mario Galaxy.

I've kind of got this urge to see PC gaming as a deliberate waste of time. If you're behind a console, you want to relax, it is there purely for entertainment purposes. But when you're behind a PC... How can you just start gaming when you have all the tools at your fingertips to do something creative? Each time I try to play a game on one of my computers, I just can't resist the urge to shut it down and start up 3ds Max, or Zbrush, or Photoshop, or Visual Studio - I mean, why go about shooting stuff when at the same time you could be making a gun yourself?

I know that when you play on a console you could use that same time to do something useful as well. But there's just something about clearly dividing your entertainment system with your working station that gives of some sort of hypocritical justification.

Let's see....

I prefer the Megaman: Battle Network games over the original side-scrolling Megaman games.

The only Mario game I've played and enjoyed was Yoshi's Island. I actually think Super Mario World 3 (the Tanooki one) was in my opinion the worst of the Mario games I've played. For that matter, I think every other character in the series, including Luigi, is significantly more interesting than Mario.

Having played the demo for No More Heros, I feel that from the demo it wasn't that fun of a game and that the humour was too "Hey look, we made a video game reference!" for my liking. For that matter I also found that Shadows of the Damned, while a good premise, stopped being funny and fun as the game went on.

While I haven't technically finished MGS2 yet, I still don't understand the hate for Raiden. Snake is still by far more bad-ass than Raiden and there should've been more Snake, rather I just didn't hate Raiden as much as everyone else did apparently.

I've never played any of the 3D Zelda games (OoT, MM, WW, TP)

I've never owned a Nintendo Home Console, and at this point I don't have any plans to do so.

Although I'll say this about everything I just said: it's hard for me to call these all sins, since I don't really feel guilty for all the things I just said (except maybe not playing MM, which admitadly looks alot more interesting and more polished than what OoT, which I have no intention on playing)

I pray to all my gods that fanboys for any system (may it be PC, Xbox, or PS) have a special place in whatever hell there may be that they may fester in, together, playing online multiplayer, against other players that use systems that isn't the one the sinner's so hot about (see note below on cross platform gaming). Oh, while the skin is flayed off their ribcages, but that last part is just an added bonus, doesn't really add anything to the value of their punishment, but figured I'd pray for that too, just in case the gods were feeling generous.

(regarding cross console gaming) You know hell (any one you may subscribe to) has an incredible IT department (which, considering the size of their staff) that has figured out cross platform gaming. If you've ever had the misfortune to call any sort of advanced IT department(gods forbid, *work in one*), you know most of those people weren't hired--they were summoned from the 666th circle of hell. Granted, yes, I'm an IT guy and all...

I hate Super Mario 64. Kinda surprising considering that Donkey Kong 64 is one of my favorite games on the system.

I typically despise online multiplayer (with a few non talking exceptions).

I enjoyed DNF and i am not ashamed.

I hated Fallout 3 because it has nothing to do with the old games or anything.

thats just some

I enjoyed that game too and hope they will make another, however, the reception of the game and the fact that the first game had about the same amount of development time as DNF (It was originally going to be a ps1 game) says otherwise unfortunately.

I have a few.

-The one I'll probably get the most crap for is that I enjoyed the 3D Sonic games more than I did the 2D games, especially Adventure, Adventure 2, and Heroes. Sonic 2006 still sucked though.
-Despite trying it and wanting to like it, I can't stand Minecraft.
-The only FPS I like is the Halo series, with my favorite being ODST.
-I prefer Dragon Age 2 over Origins.
-KotOR 2 is better than KotOR 1, as well as New Vegas being better than Fallout 3.
-Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite Final Fantasy game, followed by XIII and VI.
-Final Fantasy VII is my least favorite Final Fantasy game.

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them right now...

As do I. It's just a nice, relaxing game to play sometimes when you need a break from other genres.

Is it considered a Sin to detest just about every New-Gen game that been created in the last few years, simply out of principle? Because I do.

The Modern Game has become all about A) Graphics and/or B) Gore, and this REALLY pisses me off.

What happened to the epic storyline of games like Legend of Dragoon, or the intricacies of Myst? What happened to people liking games that DIDN'T involve the mass murder of everything in the immediate vicinity with a, now very bloody, toothbrush?

While I'm well aware that there are games being released these days not involving one, or both, of my personal pet peeves, they never do as well, because people are too caught up in the *BLAAAAAAAM* OH look it's raining blood!.

I love JRPGs, I love Final Fantasy, I loved Mirror's Edge, I hated Heavy Rain, I don't see the hype in Gears of War 1, 2, or 3, I like Hunted: The Demon's Forge, and I hate FPS games.
I'm only quoting this to say the I too, enjoyed Mirror's Edge. I wish there were more first person parkour games like that one.

This one has piqued my curiosity. May I ask why?

On-topic: I believe KotoR's story relies mostly on the plot-twist, due to the story being quite formulaic and slightly bland and the majority of the cast being quite boring (With HK-47 being exception and Bastilla/Bindo being good characters).

I also believe that Kotor 2 at its full potential would have completely and utterly destroyed its predecessor, but due to being incomplete (Just like basically all of Obsidian's work) ends up being inferior.

Cheers to that sin. I'm the same. Now, don't get me wrong: I adore Origins. But I find DA2 more enjoyable to replay.

Let's see. What else.

-I think that the DMC reboot looks cool.
-I have never played Minecraft, and don't particularly want to.
-I still play Farmville on occasion.
-I think JRPGs, when viewed as a whole, are just as good as (or superior to) WRPGs when viewed as a whole. (This is no commentary on any individual games within those genres.)

Um... I believe that's it for now.

For me... well, this is hard to admit, so here it goes... I don´t like Minecraft. I try really hard to like it, but I just don´t see the sparkle that other people see to praise the game like that.

Now that I have come clean, it´s your time. What are your Gaming Capital Sins?
This applies to me as well. I just don't feel like there's enough of a game to play there, and I've never been a fan of world builder games such as sim city or its spinoffs.
