Bad eyesight, but that's about it, and that's correctable. Otherwise, I'm in good shape and don't have any kinds of injuries.

Hooray another "We're all sick and special" thread!
Meh.

I have severe Haemphilia (Link [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haemophilia] and Simple Link [http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haemophilia]) though it doesn't have much effect on my life, so I don't actually consider it a handicap.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but didn't you go paintballing with Escapism UK last year? I'm just wondering, since I thought haemophilia kind of precludes activities of that nature.
Yea, I went this year too. I also go snowboarding as often as I can (another activity that isn't recommended). My parents decided not to raise me in a bubble and be too protective (as others might) and let me do what everyone else does. If I get hurt, I get hurt and we can treat it. No big problem.

A good example of this was going to Sonisphere Festival a few weeks ago, I filled up on drugs (their intravenous injections so I didn't want to take needles with me) beforehand and off I went. Unfortunately I got a bit murdered watching Iron Maiden and could barely walk afterwards, the backs of my legs were a deep purple - I wish I had photos. I got picked up, filled up on drugs again and took more than usual for the next week and a half.

I'm fine now though.

Yea, I got more injured standing around for 11 hours than paintballing.
Holy heck. I'm brimming with an inexplicable admiration. Usually I'd be more prudent about these things, but.. Way to kick those recessive genes in the face, my friend.

So effective treatments exist? Synthetic clotting agents and so on? I heard something about a gene being isolated that coded for platelets [or rather, the blood cells that break up to form platelets].
Yes, I was lucky enough to be born right around when the synthetic stuff was being introduced (so no risk of contaminated blood, as many older haemophiliacs have unfortunately been exposed to) and the head of the centre I went to was a huge supporter of prophylactic (regular) treatment being used as early as possible for children, as opposed to a stage of on-demand treatment.

As for the blood isolatey whatsit... Well I don't keep as up to date as I probably should on all the technical stuff.

I probably have hearing difficulties. But I have no idea how to get checked, so I'll just carry on barely hearing what people say to me at work.

If my own observations are slightly correct then I probably have AvPD, and I suffered from the occasional seizure when I was young.

Bad Eyesight. Nearsighted. Anything within arms length I can see fine. Outside of that... not so much. Without my glasses, all I can make out of someone standing across the room is basic shape and color (Fat person wearing a pink dress vs skinny person wearing a maroon sweater and blue jeans) no facial features at all.

A strange digestive quirk that means that for about 1hour after waking up eating or drinking anything causes any of a number of gastrointestinal anomalies (upset stomach, diarrhea, bloating, cramps, constipation). I can safely drink water. And I've had some luck with citrus products (juices and fruits). Further I know that drinking milk during that period WILL cause problems (I'm not lactose intolerant, I can drink milk just fine after that period of time). I suspect that as I sleep the acidity levels in my stomach drop to very low levels and introducing anything basic causes the problems.

Also extremely high metabolism can be somewhat annoying at times (after pulling an all-nighter I have to eat pretty much constantly)

Bad eyesight, nearsighted.I see blurry a few meters away without my glasses.

I'm "fluffy" so to speak, due to staying in the house so much and not walking very often, except toilet.(Don't know if being fat/obese can count as a handicap).

I must admit for I can hide it no longer: I am too good a lover. Seriously though, probably the fact that I can never let anything embarassing I've done go. Like I'll randomly remember me saying something completely stupid when I was 5 and I'll actually cringe just thinking about it.

I have extremely poor vision. One eye is pretty much blind, the other just can't see very far or anything. But other than vision related stuff, I'm pretty much okay.

I need glasses to see, but I'm alright without them. I have a mental disorder and my thyroid is screwed so if I'm without my medication then my ability to behave normally just goes out the window. I'm not that good with hearing either, probably because I'm constantly listening to music. And I have no upper body strength at all. Not much of a handicap, since I'm otherwise pretty fit and I'm working on increasing the number of press-ups I can do in a minute. Which so far is 10. That's the only reason why I'd list it as a handicap. I can't even pull myself over a fence.

I have ADHD (it's been diagnosed, and no big surprise, realy), mild dyslexia (bitchy thing to spell when you have it) sometimes I think I could have a mild form of autism, but I'm not sure on that one.
