We all know that Spyro ended at Ripto's Rage.
Eh, I think you mean Gateway to Glimmer, you silly American.
I know that American is a hard language Colour but thats no reason to start making up random titles for games!
Shouldn't you be off reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or something?
Nah I'm too busy playing Jak II with no subtitle.

Y'know, I've had conversations with several people who seem to think that there was a fourth Indiana Jones movie. Now I just think thats ludicrous. Can you imagine? A wicked old Indiana Jones with a teenage sidekick fighting aliens or some shit? Nah man, no way that'd ever happen.

The Indiana Jones Trilogy was great. Probably one of the few trilogies where all movies were excellent, and which one is best varies only on personal taste.

What a good three movies with no spin-offs or sequels.

Never was a FPS made since Quake or UT. No FPS has been made for almost two decades worth the time and effort to call a fps. Halo? CoD? those were never made ever....

The Big Bang Theory was quite funny, though relatively short-lived. Too bad they stopped after something like 3 seasons, I bet they could've maintained their quality level for many more seasons...

Man, Jaws was such a great movie. It's too bad no one has tried to do anything with it since Spielberg dropped it back in 1975. I heard that they were going to do something ridiculous like try to make a 3D Jaws movie, but thank Christ that never saw the light of day. Then I heard that they wanted to do a reboot where the shark suddenly had mystical voodoo powers or something silly like that. It's a good thing that we live in a world with strict quality control over beloved horror movies.

There was only a trilogy of 3D Metroid games...Nothing bad happened in gaming circa 2006...I did not choose Super Mario Bros. Deluxe over Pokemon Crystal...There's no such thing as a "Direct-To-DVD" Disney movie based on a classic Disney movie...The Boondocks, sadly, only had three seasons... (Wished it wasn't cancelled and shit...)They ran out of copies of the complete series of Ed, Edd, n' Eddy and As Told By Ginger...Spongebob Squarepants ended after hitting 100 episodes... (That 100th episode was the perfect end to that series, in my opinion...)GameStop has never screwed me over...Sony's still make new PSPs...

I have no idea what a "memory hole" is... But, I know damn well I wouldn't lie about the shit I said beforehand... *eye twitches*

Gantz sure was a bizarre manga, but I liked it. It ended a bit abruptly after 100 chapters or so, but in a really bold and unusual way. There was no big final showdown or grand reveal, the protagonist was just left living his life, having seen so many people die around him with no one to support him. It was hella dark, but fit the manga. I'm sure glad it didn't go on for hundreds of chapters with increasingly long and stupid fight scenes and idiotic supernatural elements (like vampires, that sure woulda been dumb) that didn't go anywhere.

You know, Stephen King's still got it. He's got it so hard and his films are fun on a bun. So's the stuff made by that Shamalamadingdong guy; I see big things in his future.

There was apparently some live action films of the transformers franchise but I haven't seen them. Apparently they were directed by someone called Michael Bay who directed some sort of film to do with turtles but nope, never heard of him.
Michael...Bay? I know of a Michele Bachmann, if that's who they mean.

Final Fantasy XIII was the most divisive Final Fantasy game since, well, XII, but I still liked it. It sure is great that they never expanded on its lore in the most convoluted way possible by giving it two sequels. It ended with a bittersweet, hopeful ending, not with the world ending and existence being completely rewritten. Yep.

Isn't it strange that the Assassin's Creed series started with 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations, and then immediately jumped to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag? Very odd indeed.

What are these revelations you speak of?

Code Geass

So we end the series with lelouch and Suzaku standing in the cave. And Suzaku just having found out that Lelouch is Zero. Then we immediately cut to some sort of carnival parade where lelouch gets assasinated by Zero.
It was all really weird.

Now I liked Dragon Age 2 more than most people around here. But I will agree that the ending is disappointing to say the least of it.
I mean you get this letter from Orsino asking you to help out and then it just cuts to the credits.

That The Elder Scrolls: Online was a perfect MMO Elder Scrolls game, and I just haven't gotten around to playing it yet because I still like playing Skyrim.

I'm really glad the NFL decided to end on a high-note with the 2008 Superb-Owl. They realized that nothing they could ever do would come close in quality.
The Giants get to retire as the conquering heroes who defeated the unambiguously evil Patriots, and we all started watching hockey to fill our violent sports void.

I can't believe it took a decade to release another Deus Ex game. The original was so good you'd think they would want to make a sequel as soon as. Though part of me is glad they decided to take their time. Speaking of which those Free Radical guys sure are taking their time with that new Timesplitters game they annouced a few years ago.

Remember Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? I think it was supposed to be an anthology series but we only got one game. It's too bad too, because that same mechanic could have been easily applied to a whole plethora of time-points in the Star Wars EU...I've read about how powerful Exar Kun, Naga Sadow, and Qel-Droma were but being able to play as them would have been absolutely fantastic.

Alot of people here are deleting memories.
I'm altering one of mine.

It's absolutely wonderful Age of Mythology got a modern reboot in 2003.
Age of Generals was a good game.
Generals Powers instead of God Powers: I see what you did there! Gods and Generals! Ha!

Too bad Command and Conquer had to wait until 2007 to get another installment.

Can't wait to see where they're going with the Skrin.
Or better yet! A new Red Alert game!

You know, I could've sworn there was something I was going to think or say... but I just can't remember how I got to this thread. What website is this? How did I get here? Is this some kind of sick joke? It's still 2011, right?
Of course, you're safe here on The Escapist forums circa 2010/11.

See, people over there are bickering about MLP and we don't know what an Anika Samkeesuan is.
2010/11? I think you mean 2009.
The forums are a hive of interesting discussion, the moderators have done away with their overzealous elements but still keep the unpleasant types at bay, and repeat threads are despised by the community instead of being embraced by them.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day was an awesome movie and holds up even today. Why couldn't they make any more sequels to that movie, ya know, while Arnie was still young enough to play the title role? It would suck if they tried casting him in the title role now, what with him being old and all.
If you want an excellent movie trilogy, buy Indiana Jones! The movies ended with The Last Crusade in which Indiana chases after his father, and the holy grail! There's this awesome fight scene on a tank, a tomb full of rats, and Sean Connery, James Bond himself!

Yeah I remember hearing years ago that hollywood offered Arnie a bunch of money to do Terminator 3, but when he found out that neither James Cameron nor Linda Hamilton would be involved he said 'no thanks'.

I've always had a lot of respect for him for doing that, it shows that there are still people in the world with artistic integrity who aren't just out to do any old piece of crap for bags of money.
