Link, however, takes the prize for me hating him the most. If he would just learn to jump and maybe run a bit faster, I wouldn't hate him. But I seriously get frustrated with how slow he is and with how useless he seems to be because he can't jump in place.

He kills a man who is scared shitless, has an unborn child, and a wife. Then promptly says, in the most insincere manner: "I'm sorry it had to be this way." *Twists knife further*

He basically is the one saying 'but thou must', in the begining. "Oh, you don't want to come? Well fuck you. Rite of conscription *****, I own you now."

He dies in some heroic battle, where he tackles one ogre to the ground, killing it. Hey, guess what. I KILLED ONE ON THE WAY TO THE FRICKING SIGNAL. It isn't awesome, it isn't badass, its average.

And he goes on and on about how Greywardens are so *totally* needed, and its awesome because you can sense darkspawn....but you can't, you never do. The only mechanical setup for it is a bloody extra skillpoint. You don't even get the special 'dark spawn' sense. You're even sneak attacked in the bloody camp, by Darkspawn, and nobody gets a warning.

The worst part, Alistar looks up to this jackass like he's some sort of divine being brought down to live with us mortals. Bring up the fact that he just fucking KILLED A MAN who was simply scared shitless, wanted to go home to his wife and unborn child, and was clearly holding his weapon defensively. He didn't stop a crazed man who could have done anything, he is a fucking MURDERER.
Bring up this fact, and Alistar has all the temperment of a three year old child. Stamping his foot and going 'NUH UH! HE'S AWESOME! AN' SUPER! AN' POWERFUL! AN' CAN KICK YOUR ASSS!'

she tries to be funny but isn't, but worse yet: she is completely useless, and in a way a plot hole given physical form. she basically tell you what you need to do, but she talks WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH OTHERWISE GOD DAMNIT WOMAN SHUT UP.

also, by the end of the game, she falls in love with you, even though you never talk to her and she probably has no Idea what you look like until the end where you two have the most awkward to watch makeout EVER. (also how the shit does she get to the underground alien spaceship so fucking fast? I mean, the alien is dead, but its woman-killing worshippers are still fricken all over the place...

I should mention that I don't hate Kilik as much as I hate people who try to defend Kilik's blatant balance issues. I have no problem if you play as Kilik and understand that he is overpowered though.

Basically every character that you meet in the first hour of Final Fantasy XIII clunked heads in the doorway of this thread for me. And I say first hour because that's the grand total of time I played that game. I hated EVERYONEEE, even fake Kurt Cobain.
