The "Bladeborn" bit might raise a few eyebrows, considering it comes across like a heavy metal stage name or suchlike, but "Gildan" is for all intents and purposes the online identity that I've painstakingly constructed for myself and I've operated under it for years now. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that there are more people who know me as Gildan then there are that know me by "my actual name that I will certainly not be divulging now to a collection of random internet strangers, no sirree!".

So yeah, I wouldn't mind being called Gildan - I have conversations now (the out loud kind, thanks to Ventrilo servers and Guild Wars) wherein I'm addressed as such, so I already know that answering to that name doesn't feel weird at all.

I'm actually okay with this, I think it's a pretty good screen name and it wouldn't be too awkward to use in real life. I went by the name Van for quite a while anyways so it may be more nostalgic than anything. I also got called VanQ (pronounced Vank) over vent on most MMOs and I think that sounds pretty sweet.
