I was being chased by a turquoise stop sign, and the sign said "SOTP" instead of stop. It scared me.

I'm not joking here: I had a nightmare about being stuck in a theatre, watching the worst movie of my life (I never saw what it actually was).
This was 3 weeks before Transformers 2.

I believe my very first post was about my scariest/weirdest nightmare, let me check...
Yes, indeed it was.

My scariest nightmare would be me, being chased by a giant fucking rat that just won't stop. Not even if I give it a few shotgun blasts to the face.

To quote the third thread I made...

For me it was last year, I tried cutting weight for wrestling, and in doing so I experienced the most frightening nightmares ever. I would watch a serial murder slowly killing every freind/family member/loved one I had ever known. As the dream went on the murders got more gruesome and more of the murderer was revealed to me, I also found myself almost enjoying it, as though it were a game. The Dream would conclude with my family being killed and the girl I love the most bound in front of the mirror, and I could see myself in the mirror with blood splattered clothes, bloody cleaver in my hand, and a sadistic smile on my face, slowling moving towards her.
Freakiest shit that ever happened to me in a dream.
And that, children, is why we eat healthy, well balanced meals.

I don't dream now, (or never recollect them, depending on personal thoughts) but once, in my younger years, I had a dream where all my worst fears, which were coincidentally of similar sizes and nature, popped into existence outside my room when I was sleeping. My door was always open back then, so they waltzed right in. So then I wake up (in the dream) and they're looking down on me, in circle formation. That's the scary part, because I slept on a bunk bed, so I have no idea how one of them managed to float like that. Then, here comes the kicker... They stay like that. The whole time. I don't wake up. They don't do anything. They just stay there, frozen, staring menacingly, until I wake up at my usual time.

Another one involved Rukia from Bleach somehow being in the real world. It scares me because it broke the fabric of reality.

When I was younger I use to always have this nightmare when the people I loved are getting tortured ol' school style. the torture wheels, their biggest fears, thousands of cuts all over them etc blood everywhere, screams for help. Not going to go into big detail but all I could do was watched.. use to have it multiple times a night.. I think that's why I probably don't sleep much anymore... :D and people say nightmare can scar you.. I turned out perfectly fine... >.> <.<

Christ, you weren't also staying in some weird hotel that caused you vision to blur ocasionally or see flashes of some alternate universe where most things were splattered with excessive amounts of blood, were you?

As far as I can remember though, I haven't had a nightmare for years, or at least one that hasn't faded into nothingness upon waking up. I'm fairly sure one of them involved Scorpions though, which is odd as they don't really scare me much.

I keep on thinking of some Bogeyman rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody now.

Nope, just bad dieting. I dont usually remember dreams, but for a week when thats all you see when you close your eyes to sleep, you start to get a little paranoid. God, trying to cut weight was huge mistake.

This is probably the worst: I was walking home and this old man was following me. No matter how fast I walked, he'd ever so slowly gain on me. At this point you must be thinking "oh, its symbolising his fear of growing old" - well, it took a slightly darker turn. I started running home and he was still gaining on me. I slammed my door shut. He walked through the glass, and pinned me to the ground. He was about to rape me when I woke up in tears... :S

I also had this recurring dream of Satan knocking on my door, tying me up and ripping my stomach open with his bare hands when I was 10ish. Fun fun fun.

I had this nightmare when i was but a whee lad.

Ok, it started nice a friendly (almost suspiciously friendly) with me in a house. I'm chillen inside when my mother comes up to me and goes "Cameron! were going for a drive", being my obeying self i proceeded into the automobile and we drove to Jon bonnet ramses house (that beauty pageant little girl who got pwned by her parents.) AS I hop out of the vehicle I see her running at me going "YOU FINALLY HERE!" and then out of nowhere..... BAM! some guy come out of the bushes and stabs her, he then glares down at me a just as hes about to stab me a wake up screaming little a girl.

FUN FACT! it was around 1:00 am when I woke up and i refused to go back to sleep so i stayed up all night holding my teddy and clenching my plastic sword.

Someone I know (and hate) chased me around with a chainsaw, then sawed my legs off. Rest is all blur.

Alma from Fear 1 gives me the willies too. The only thing that has ever scared me in a video game.

I don't have much nightmares, although i did have this series of events happen in a dream where things like one of my friends fell out of the car i was in, i kept on hearing this creepy music, this person put i spider on my face, and finally, i walked into the kitchen, all fine, and then, behind me, screaming, a guy with a towel on his head started running towards me. I then woke up screaming. It was 5:00 AM, so i stayed up watching TV.
