I have lots of fucked up dreams...

I had this dream where I was at my birthday party, and a package was delivered on my doorstep. I opened it up, and it was a barrel full of plastic centipedes. I opened the barrel, and a sickly yellow gas creeped out, and day turned to night. I shrugged it off, and went inside.
As soon as I stepped inside, my foot started burning. I looked down, and saw that the entire floor was writhing in venomous centipedes! They were raining from the ceiling, crawling on the walls.
Me and my friends ran into my room, which was pitch black. I stood in the doorway, scared. As my friends proceeded to my bunkbed to sit down, a giant centipede slithered out from the floor, and devoured my friends, AND my bed whole.

I woke up covered in piss.

I also had a dream when I was 6, where my parents had gotten shot while they were asleep.
I heard the gunfire, and ran out into the night. I sat on the curb to catch my breath, and cry, but the killer, who happened to be a tall, white male in a tanktop, came after me with a pistol. Everything then went black...

One of my dreams, though not really a nightmare, was quite depressing. I was just learning about lucid dreaming, and I was able to control my dreams for about a week.
Then I went to sleep. I wound up in a dark, golden temple, and I was about to retrieve a relic, Indiana Jones style. I snatched the relic, from it's pedestal, and looked at it (Can't remember what it was.)
The artifact turned out to be a controller for my dreams, and I could do whatever I wanted with it. I gave myself the abillity to fly, I changed my surroundings, and I even made a girl that I liked at the time appear.
But then, the artifact turned into a roll of toilet paper, and the temple crumbled upon me.

Then, every single nightmare that I have had played after that dream. I haven't been able to procure a lucid dream since.

When I was 5 or 6,I dreamt that a beheaded zombie was chasing me around.
I was scared shitless and finished the night in the bed of my parents, asking myself all night if my dad could really beat up the zombie if he came back.

Incidently the first dream I ever remembered in my whole life.

When I was little I had a dream I got run over by a red ferrari. But I didn't die, I lay right between the wheels. Then the dream turned weird, I asked the driver "Should I move aside?", after which he drove away in a jiffy and left a cloud of smoke behind.

I think I watched too much of Knight Rider as a kid...

Back when I was a wee lad, when Goldeneye 007 was pretty new, I had a nightmare where I was in the game, and I got shot. Can't remember any other ones, or that one, to be honest. I just remember my brother telling me about how I went crying to my mom in the middle of the night.

Now, though, I haven't been around a gun that scared me. Not even one that was loaded, cocked, and aimed at me. I know that tiny piece of metal and lead would hurt like hell, but it doesn't scare me, because I know what will happen.

Walked down into a cellar and the door slams behind me and the lights shut off.

The sound of a woman wailing circles me constantly and I begin to weep uncontrollably, falling to my knees while covering my face with my hands.

Had that nightmare several years ago and I still get chills thinking about it.

I once dreamed that I was an adult man in Germany in 1942. I had a wife and young very sick daughter, and due to my lack of education I was unable to get a job to buy medicine, so I was forced to join the Wehrmacht. My bad vision had me posted in Auchwitz as one of the guards who had to push the Jews into the creamatorium. I was horrified at the vividness, the women, children and men I pushed into this fire to burn to death. The screams still haunt me in real life. Every face I saw was agony or fear. In my dream I was also sickend at my actions and after pushing in the last Jew in the line, an angel of death leaped out of the fire and grabbed me by the scruff of my neck. It looked like a baby made of magma with fire shooting out of its waist instead of legs. It screamed at me in agony and said,"You will pay for the actions of your former life, this I swear." I then woke up screaming with a fever and a cold sweat at two in the morning.

Seriously freaky crap, it still worries me

This was my most merorable and vivid dream for awhile until I had a worst one, but that was more a confusing dream than scary, anyways on with the story:

I once dreamed I woke up, went downstairs and there was a elderly man in a swiveling chair in the middle of the room, a wierd metal tube appeared and desended down around his head. After 10 seconds of sounds of clicking and screams, he turned round, got up, andfaced me and took the tube off. Pyramid Head had appeared in my living room. He took his sword, he then slamed it into the table in front of him that had just appeared. He had beheaded the Statepuff Marshmallow man. Scarist and most vivid I had ever seen. And the wierdest thing was that this was the day before I watched Silent Hill the movie.

I had a dream that me, as well all my highschool friends, were being chased by Khavus from Magic: The Gathering across our track field, which for some reason, was littered with rrandom chainlink fences. The guy I had a crush on at the time was the first person to die.

That wasn't my scariest though. My scariest is much too long and involves giant man-eating angelfish. No joke.

It was about 5 when I had this dream: I was standing in the road (actually a crossroads near our old house, I could recognise it). It was very dark. Then I turn right, and see something big running towards me on the road at incredible speed. It gets close, leaps at me, I dodge and it misses. It's a fuckin' huge wolf-kinda thingy. It lands, turns back at me again, and jumps at me. Then I wake up.

Edit: Also, after having seen Jurassic Park, I had a couple dreams about getting eaten by a T-Rex in different situations. Oh, Fun!

Actually i have, but here in the UK it's called 'Project Zero' or something like that. Didn't do much for me, and neither did Fear 2 come to think of it, only Fear 1 has ever scared me in a video game. Must be the engine :p

I was sound asleep when a vision of some kind of wall of gore and guts appeared... It was only for a split second, but it freaked me out. You know how most nightmares wake up when they reach a certain level of terror? I hit that point so quickly my mind didn't have time to get into the nightmare.

A huge gang member beat me up with a park bench in front of a movie theater. This probably isn't my scariest but its the latest that I remember.

The most often occuring nightmare I had when I was a child was that something was chasing me or I was in some sort of nightmarish danger and I couldn't scream. I remember vividly trying to scream, but to no avail. It was like I had no voice and all I could do was whisper and I tried whispering loudly, and when that didn't help I tried whispering to whatever was chasing me to please stop. Fucking horrifying and I still have phobias of not having a voice.

Then one specific dream, I remember being in some desert-like location with my family and friends, and suddenly some kind of virus broke out and whoever was affected by it got his head detached like a from a Lego guy and while that happened you actually died (or didn't exist) for a few seconds. And the feeling of not existing was so terrifying that I spent many sleepless nights in fear of what it would be like to not exist in the first place.

And the most recent nightmare, I remember only being strangled by some strange and powerful force, and it was so powerful, that I woke up only to see my own hands holding my neck strongly. Needless to say, I couldn't fall back asleep for the rest of the night in fear of my own body strangling me. It's just... sick mental shit. It was like I lost control of my own hands.

Pretty much any time I'm in the whole "Need to run but can't" scenario.

I was being chased by a turquoise stop sign, and the sign said "SOTP" instead of stop. It scared me.

I've got the gut feeling that somehow that isn't as scary as the dream would have been.

I'm not joking here: I had a nightmare about being stuck in a theatre, watching the worst movie of my life (I never saw what it actually was).
This was 3 weeks before Transformers 2.
Hilarious, yet freakout-worthy. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Science_Theater_3000]
