And im going to have to add a sixth, which is Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. It had an amzing story and the cutesy graphics were crystal sharp (probably the best graphics of the previous generation).

Wow, this is hard, here I go, there will be a shitload of honorable mentions:
1. DOOM (PC) - classic kill all gameplay
2. Tetris (multi) - most addictive puzzle game EVER!
3. American McGee's Alice in Wonterland (PC) - classic fairy tale, only told in a dark and mature way, awsome.
4. Timesplitters: Future Perfect (xbox) - What other game lets me put a monkey, duck, calamary, the Gingerbread man, a bear, a dinosaur, and Badass Robot (actual name) against each other?
5. Civilization 4 (PC) - I once lost track of time when playing this game, and I played it all night without even noticing.
Honorable mentions:
Ratchet and Clank series - can't decide on a game, one of the most unique series' out there, full of fun, humor, action, and adventure.
Jak and Daxter series - again, can't decide which game I like best,
Powerstone 2 - best multiplayer fighter EVER
Counter Strike - Scource - COD4 aint got nothin on this

2. Oblivion (PC) - it gets bland after 2 years of vanilla, but then there's the internet
3. Team Fortress 2 (360) - FPS perfection. Almost.
4. Tie: Half-Life 2 and Call of Duty 4 (360) - why does everyone hate COD5? it's almost as good as 4! and hooray vortigaunts
5. Age of Empires II, III, Mythology (PC) - Hydra. Yeah, screw your lasers. It's a freaking hydra.
6. Call of Duty 5 (360) - you got a problem with tanks? avoid em, stupid. MP40s? Aye, there's the rub.
7. Bioshock (360) - most fun with crossbows ever
8. Crysis (PC) - yes. vehicles that aren't overpowered. surprised?
9. Halo 3 (360) - well done, well done. but it's just not as fun as other FPSs
10. Fallout 3 (360) - it's oblivion if it were completely average.
