I despise that. Here I am, having practiced good aim and diligent searching to keep myself well-armed, and the devs say "fuck you, it's all going away now".I kinda like it when a fps game takes away your weapons.

Yeah, if the aim is to have a well-balanced game, then don’t give those kinda options in the first place. Balance can be boring sometimes anyways. Game logic integrity is more important, at least for non-competitive games.I despise that. So you prefer the 2 weapon limit then?I despise that. Here I am, having practiced good aim and diligent searching to keep myself well-armed, and the devs say "fuck you, it's all going away now".
No one's saying or implying that. You can still have proper weapon balance without taking weapons away nor use the two weapon limit. It's been proven plenty of times before, and continues to do so.So you prefer the 2 weapon limit then?
Not really, you generally have to balance around the lowest common denominator. You can't really balance around the hidden super fuck you gun that is found two secrets into the 3rd stage, you have to balance around the player only having the really obvious assault rifle and pew pew laser. If you are going to have neat secrets and secret weapons to find then you can't really take into account players finding those, so some people who do will have a really easy time, but taking away weapons is a great method of returning the balance again and making even weak enemies be a threat, at least for a little while since very few games that take away your weapons don't give them back pretty quick. No one's saying or implying that. Yes you can. It's been done before. Even if there's a game breaker there's still usually a skill involved or some type. Most of the retro throwback shooters seem to be doing it fine. You're always going to have your game breakers no matter what, but you can have a high roster of weapons, a weapon wheel, and still be fully balanced. Both modern Doom games done it fine, Shadow Warrior 3 did it fine, both of the modern Wolfenstein games have proper bounds of weapons, Prodious, etc. I can go on all day.Not really, you generally have to balance around the lowest common denominator. Except most most of those do have other limitations, like Doom Eternal had extreme limits on ammo where you have to use chainsaw methods to restock and all the weapons had specific uses. Haven't played Shadow Warrior so I can't speak on it. The new Wolfenstein games tend to reset your ammo between missions and then they still will usually have a spot where they take away your weapons. I think Prodious reset your ammo between stages and I forget if it was balanced around pistol start.Yes you can. It's been done before. Losing your weapon can work sometimes but if it's done too much or is done at the worst time and not fun, then it's badly done. that's all I got to say on that. You're either into that type of thing or not. I'm usually for not.
Those type of limitations are fine because they're still not removing your entire weapon set. Nor is it two weapon limit needed. Just putting your powers on cool down, or limiting your ammo. If I remember correctly Prodius, doesn't reset your ammo. When you die you just reload your checkpoint or whatever. Because once you unlock a weapon, or find it in a secret, it permanently remains in your weapon inventory.Except most most of those do have other limitations, like Doom Eternal had extreme limits on ammo where you have to use chainsaw methods to restock and all the weapons had specific uses. Does look like you maintain your ammo in Prodius between levels and the game is designed around you building your arsenal so I don't think pistol start would even be viable. I still think I remember some stages that take away your weapons but I might be thinking of something else. Those type of limitations are fine because they're still not removing your entire weapon set. Got a song by an evil circus band who main members were killed in random shooting called that. We're all mad here.
Being a netrunner, like a proper one, sucks. Even in the old tabletop its fuckin' pants; seriously dig into your game files; there should be a PDF of the 2020 sourcebook. Being a 'runner is basically its own game. You shouldn't be able to be a netrunner in Cyberpunk.
Yeah, yeah, I get that it's all about player choice. And quickhacks are actually fun. But how many times in this game does V go "ah shit I need a netrunner", despite maxing out Intelligence and having the preemest cyberdeck on the market. Your V can always conceivably be the best Solo, the best Techie, the best Shinobi, the best Headhunter in Night City. But you never truly feel like the best Netrunner. It's not that I want netrunner gameplay to be just sitting in a chair with a USB in my head, but I feel narratively it would have made more sense to fold in the Intelligence/Netrunner stuff into one Techie class.
I like it when it's done for a "you got captured" level. Makes me appreciate my weapons.I despise that. Here I am, having practiced good aim and diligent searching to keep myself well-armed, and the devs say "fuck you, it's all going away now".
I would say you're full of it and Thems Fighting Herds has the best, but since its not gonna be finished. I'm not sure where it stands anymore.Tekken 8 has the best fighting game story mode ever made! No contest!

I never really liked the Tekken games, maybe when its on sale or something.
- Play the entirety of T8's 3 hour story mode and you'll see what I mean. There's a reason why this take is going around and most are having a hard time disagreeing. Or watch Max's playthrough for the extra hype.
- What the hell happened TFH? Did it get cancelled?
