Wow, I just read that article you linked. It was very informative. Makes me understand MLP:Fim that much more.Mrrrgggrlllrrrg said:Oh I have an interesting read for you from the pony/human age relative.Daystar Clarion said:She's a pony.
A pony is a young horse.
See where I'm going with this?

Side note: I love it when people overthink in fandoms, makes for awesome readings.

High five to both of you guys too for Persona 4!RedEyesBlackGamer said:Chie is a really good character and cute to boot. Nice choice.dancinginfernal said:Just for the record, I do have a physical girlfriend.
And... yeah, I do have a waifu.
Chie Satonaka
OP: Naoto Shirogane:
She is cute and quite intelligent. And shorter than me. I feel uncomfortable around taller girls.
I think i should point out that the Comic-book Teen titans version of Starfire made her out to be a total 180 of the cartoon show, she's very sexualized in the comic and is built in a provocative manner, as for Felicia well my love of this catgirl is expressed in the tattoo of her I have on my left arm( its a chaste chibi version of her)Z of the Na said:Huge amount of butthurt in this thread. Suck it up people, it's only for fun, as the OP clearly said.
While I dislike the term "waifu" in itself (It relates more to the weaboo stereotype than anything else.), there are a couple fictional females whom I can say without shame that I have had a slight attraction to; both in the past and the present. They are both rather cute, and don't really act any different than what I hope to find in an actual girl someday.
Judge me if you will, but my choices are as follows, as there is no way I would be able to choose one or the other:
She's sweet, naive, and appears to be a joy to get to know. Starfire was probably my first fictional crush.
Up until recently, I had no idea who this woman was. Now that I've done a bit of research, I think it's safe to say Felicia is fast becoming one of my favorite video game characters. While her attire may be questionable, I would be more than capable of looking past that. Yes, she is a nun, but fictionally speaking, I would more than jump at the chance to get to know her better.
Pretty much what I was thinking, thank you for saving me the trouble of posting it myself.Jaime_Wolf said:Escapist forum stock reply #1: Jesus Christ you people are ridiculous.
"Having feelings about fictional characters? Is that normal? I don't think that's normal. Fuck, what if random people on the internet think that I might have experienced this too. What if people I've never met think I'm not normal. Fuck. 'Uh, I have sex with girls.' Yeah, yeah, that's good. That'll throw them off."
Leaving aside the fact that people can very naturally develop attachments to damn near anything, the notion that people can become attached to representations of humans or anthropomorphized characters isn't even remotely remarkable. The whole point of making the characters human-like is to allow people to relate to them. Fluttershy may be a pony, but she's a pony who manipulates tools, wears clothes, and speaks fucking English. We're not talking about some farmer who's fallen in love with his horse.
If you've never experienced this phenomenon or think it's pathetic or weird that someone could, you are the odd one.
I guess you are right, I haven't thought about it like that. I guess as a male I was more repulsed about the way some fangirls obsess over him, than straight up porn. But you are right, I was unable to see through my bias that both genders can be as obsessive.trollnystan said:To be fair, there is plenty of horrific fan-porn of female characters out there by male fans. After seeing the mind crushing quanity of that... "ART" I have had doubts about female fans of these games.trollnystan said:Er, ew? No, I do not draw nor seek out Alistair porn. He's just a funny and sweet (and pixelated) guy. Honestly I try to stay away from fan-porn, unless it's lulzy.
Whenever I hear the beginning I start to smile because it's so damn sweet that I could get a sugar rush just from watching the clipevilneko said:I'm more of a Kagamine fan... Rin Kagamine, of course. She has a better voice anyway.
And who could argue with this adorableness?
