How very bungie-ish of Treyiarch to hide something like this...

EDIT: And it makes the entire plot questionable and will provoke crazy fan theories? Defiantly like Bungie :)

Like the description says; the only acomplishment here was spotting that there was a code to crack. I'm fairly confident that most people could crack that piss easy code once they spotted it.

Still, hats off to you sir for seeing it :)

Thats? cool? I guess?
Still doesn't make the storyline enjoyable, good, or comprehensible?

How long before we find out Reznov was somehow tied with Zahkaev and the two series collide with one another? It wouldn't surprise me if they find some way of tying Nova 6 in with the origin of zombies as well. Don't forget, that mode has its own storyline, hidden though it may be.
During one of the Vietnamese missions where Resnov is listening to that German dude on the radio (just befire the tunnel collapses), the German guy mentions the necrotising factor of the Nova6 virus. Nova6 is also mentioned during the Nazi Zombies mode on WaW, though I cant remember which map unfortunately.
I have a feeling CoD is about to jump the shark and do a L4D on us all

41093 is a number that pops up quite a bit on the main menu as well. Look around and you'll see it. Turn it upside down and it looks like it says Ebola. There is a lot hidden in that game. I know 2 of the Presidential Logins and thats it. There is a list of commands and things on the internet somewhere but its better to mess about with it yourself. Actually solving something on it makes you feel all kinds of smart.

Try typing the name of Masons wife into the computer for completely useless results. Acts like a redarded personal therapist

So yeah, Nova 6 is very highly likely the cause of the zombie thing
That shark is on the horizon now and CoD is getting its water-skis on
That's fascinating and all, but why would it be an example of shark jumping? Such intrigue adds a great deal of interest beyond the standard SHOOTY SHOOTY SPLOSIONS.

Um... that really didn't seem that hard to crack. Also, he was quite annoying. Anyway, what is this Portal secret code? I must know! :D

I want Treyarch to come out and say, "what the hell are you talking about. Why would you think we would put such confusing crap in a game?"

SUCH a cracker.
I already knew Reznov wasn't dead
I had a feeling too. You can't just kill off Reznov/Gary Oldman that easily.
Now he mentions a code, it's fucking easy to spot, however. He tries to sound like a genius, when in fact, if you know there's a pattern in the designates, you can work out the whole code easily.
Especially the numbers.

If i'd played through the campaign more than once, I'd have eventually picked up on it. Haha.

Sequel?
Or just a programmer fucking with the gaming community?

Really, CoD? Alpha-numeric substitution?

Master codemakers, you are.
Come on, they had to make it easy enough for people to find. It's not clear that there even is a code and if it was much more complex then no one would ever find it. There will be another CoD game out in a year and then 90% of the players will never touch Black Ops again. I don't see the CoD community being particularly dedicated to any codebreaking.

It is weird the number of easter eggs in Black Ops, though. If only they could've put that much effort into actual gameplay.

I don't get why everyone is bitching about how simple this code is.

All those complaing who have the game? Did you find the code?

I doubt it.

On Topic: Gratz to the dude for working it out, God bless your flannel shirt.

While the dudes ego needs to be knocked down a peg or two, Kudos for finding this... although he has way too much time on his hands. That being said id spose my ego would grow too if I was in his shoes.

They're a game developing company... Did you expect a whole matrix of numbers that when put together in just the right way, can create nifty messages to the experience code cracker? Oh wait...

Sure it's not advanced code, but it's still pretty cool. Besides, considering that nobody even knew there WAS a code until just recently, I'd say they did pretty good.

OT: That's cool, but I was just getting used to Reznov being dead, and now they're implying that he's alive and some sort of double agent or something along the lines of that.

It wasn't a blatant cliffhanger, but it was still a cliffhanger damnit! Now I have to wait and see what tricks they have under their sleeves.
