Edit: ^There It Is :)
Sorry for the double post
They're cunning like that.

Interesting, but it's not exactly cracking the Enigma Machine. I think it would help if the guy in the video wasn't absurdly pretentious.
Yeah, I know exactly what it is, but this guy seriously annoys the hell out of me.

I'm impressed that those making this game actually put the effort into putting that in the game ... or if it was even intended. Could it just be a coincidence?
Probably not. This is pretty straight forward and deliberate. If the numbers were offset, or in a rotating cipher, that would be a little more likely.

Damn, and to think I spent my time actually playing the game. Unless he did it while playing the game.

"That's what I do, I'm a cracker."
Laugh out loud.

Though I do hope that what they said in the code is true.

And when I finally got around
Reznov's death
, I learn he might still be alive. Now Treyarch ABSOLUTELY needs to de a Reznov-Price team-up mission.
They can't. The world would implode from that much awesomeness. Cannot be done.

Would still be amazing though...

Seriously, Treyarch. You've hidden all this stuff in the game. Where are the zombie Easter Eggs? Or have I simply not found them yet?

Replacing numbers with respective letters? My god he's a fucking Sherlock Holmes!

He's too annoying to watch someone tell me what the code was.

this is pretty cool, it would be nice to have a price reznov team up but im not sure that would work givin that reznov would have to be ancient to do that..technically he shouldt have been able to do much in black ops i mean how old was he in 1945 during the fall of berlin? add 20 some years to that then another 42 to 50 years for the modern warfare time frame...unless he ended up bein an advisor to price in say the 80's maybe, could have a game in south america

Reminds me if you took the first letter of every mission from Dead Space and it also gave a spoiler-tastic message

Surprised nobody else noticed the phonetic message in the mission intel. Didn't know about the second part though.

It's stuff like this that makes me feel flat-out retarded. I'm just playing the game, pointing and laughing when I blow some guy's legs off with a grenade.

Really, CoD? Alpha-numeric substitution?

Master codemakers, you are.
Yes,because they wanted no one to find the code, hence the super simple encoding.
Seriously, why would they make an extremely complex encoding that requires the use of a dedicated cpu for hours, maybe even days, to crack.

Yes,it's simple, but its so that players find it.
I was taught how to hide codes, even images into other images, and I'm still not out of school yet, some of these programmers have years of practice under their belts,if they wanted to,you wouldn't even have ever seen the code, despite it being right under your nose the whole game.

Oooo, this makes me want to play Black Ops just to see who this Reznov guy is and how the code applies to him.
Play Dead Space. Exactly the same plot "twist" right down to to the first letter in the level names spelling out "S O A N D S O I S D E A D" and the ending going "or is it?"
Character name itself redacted for those who missed all the "OBVIOUSLY DEAD OR EVIL" alarm bells in the intro.

This is the highest rated comment for the video:

Cool, they used the NATO phonetic alphabet and numbers to hide another bit of info for the potential sequel. The messages from X and the final page of the final missions intel let us know that 10 years after Black Ops ends Mason, Hudson and Weaver travel to South Africa to find Dr. Clarke's brother for some reason, when they get there the CIA and MI-6 have a joint op using the SAS to attempt to kill them, with this new twist who knows what else was also programmed into Mason's mind...

If that is true we could have a Tavish-Price Hudson-Mason showdown to end the cod series and Activision could turn their developers to making Barbie Horse Adventure games and make millions selling it to 12 year old kids, with a super addictive online.
Those time periods dont match up... The SAS wouldnt have Soap in at that time. 10 years after Black Ops is the 1970's. Soap probably wouldnt even be alive at that point let alone part of the SAS (which he joined in 2011).

So he's dead? So what?
