Well the first game doesn't "explore" Sebastian's back story in the sense of actually discussing or talking about it. But virtually every document found leading to the save rooms fleshed out the story building gradually from first meeting his future wife, to them getting married, to having the child, to losing the child, and then to her basically going mad with paranoia and investigating the fire and winding down with her being murdered for asking too many questions.
Though given Yahtzee has to basically rush through these games to get a weekly review in I suppose I really can't blame him for not taking the time to read every single hidden document in the game
