I don't know why everyone complains about the ads. They're at the end. And there is a stop button. SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WATCH THEM. As long as they don't start putting bonus features at the end, it won't bug me at all.

Ahem. I personally didn't feel anything for this review. I mean, usually I care one way or the other, but for some reason, not for this one. I'm going to watch it again, now...

Nope, couldn't make it through it again. It just didn't make me laugh this time. And as I never intend to buy any of the games Yahtzee reviews, the funny is the only reason I come.

Maybe it's because he didn't hate or love this game enough. Mediocre reviews are almost always mediocre entertainment.

guessing you will see a few people finally registering to post after the crappy ads have finally gotten completely out of control. just want to thank yahtzee for some kickass reviews and wave goodbye. the ads are just to annoying now. hoping wherever he ends up next does this stuff more gracefully.

JOE COOL said:

Edited: I know hes Australlian.
He isn't Australian he's British! Alot of naive Americans here not knowing what cornetto's are (note: I mean this in jest so don't ban me).

But, y'know, Yahtzee, if you want to oil your thighs up anyway, that's fine too. :)

Yahtzee needs to get over his hatred of Halo. It was made SEVEN years ago! It was a good game back then. You can drivel on about unoriginal features all you like, it was the delivery that made it.

Regenerating health was used in an old X-Men game, yes ROTT had dual weilding, yes Duke Nukem had melee combat. Suprisingly, it wasn't the first game to be set in space. None of these things negate the actual quality of the game; interactive entertainment that is fun.

Get over yourself, there's no 'Casablanca' or 'The Godfather' yet in games. It's not hard to point out the flaws in a medium that relies on the unrealistic.

A friend brought this around to my place after renting it for the night.. and really thats about all i can stand from it. The only real feature we enjoy was the Co-op.

The idea (the IN roy) is a ok one and something new. But it really doesnt work like a brick boat it'll disapper into the darkness and no one's gonna miss it.

Thanks for another great Review ^^.
Also what flavour cornetto would you recommand ???

I haven't read a good review of this game yet so its not surprise. As for Halo, not everyone has to love your baby. Just I sympathize with Yhatzee's view on jingoistic, macho, nationalistic pricks in FPS. The fact is Yhatzee will hate most FPS games because he is a single player guy. He admits in his reviews that he doesn't do multi-player. Reviewing any FPS without the primary focus being on the single player is like going to a disco and not dancing.

On a side note, I rented Devil May Cry 4 and after several minutes I decided that Yhatzee was way too kind in his review that overwrought, steamer.

Review Spyro 2 - the single greatest game ever created!!! ... except portal, of course... (the cake is a lie... or is it?)

Bloody brilliant ending to that game, but the bastard song won't stay out of my brain!
Even though i liked this game a lot of got to say that yahtzee makes a lot of valid points... wtf happened to the 'amazing' graphics that all the game mags were commenting on before it came out?

Excellent review yet again, it was a bit short but if it was any longer he would of probably repeated himself from the Turok review. And I agree, the only thing that's even half way decent is the games cover.

Considering they could have done something like an up to date Jacob's Ladder... yeah this is a pretty forgettable game... shame.

I think we're all missing the real point here. Exactly how does one "eat their cake" without "having it" in the first place?

I think you can easily get past that whole "trying to have one's cake and eat it too" addage by simply having 2 cakes. That way, you can have one and eat the other.

I never really cared for this game to begin with. Maybe that's why I liked this review more than some others.

Wow. I would never pay $105 American for a video game, no matter how good. I did not find this week as good as most, but still great none the less. This is one of the last things I use the internet for. My weekly dose of Zero Punctuation.

Hilarious as always. I hope you can get to Ninja Gaiden 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4 in a future review. Not sure when those are coming out in Australia.

Um, guys? The Drawn by Pain ad is at the end, after the review is over. You can just turn it off if you feel like it.

If it were at the beginning I'd complain, but now I can just turn it off after ZP is done (although I like DbP, I'm sick of the same monologue in all the ads), so why bother complaining when there's no obstacle to not watching it?

Oh, right, we're supposed to be commenting on the review. I forgot. Anyway, on that topic, the review was solid enough and it definitely had its funny moments, the line "and I was relieved to find that I was supposed to think that" had me cackling and I loved the technicolor explosions at the end. However, like some others here, I am a little tired of him reviewing so many FPS's. On Yahtzee's website he says that the editors and he usually work out games beforehand, is that true? Maybe whoever picks his games could stop making him review so many FPS's, or maybe it doesn't work that way. Maybe you have a good reason. Or maybe Yahtzee doesn't like reviewing Japanese games so he sticks to American games, and all that America is producing right now are FPS's. Whatever, I still think someone could stand to break the tide a little. Frankly, play one FPS and you've played about 90% of them all, and it's starting to seem like the same rule applies to reviews of FPS's as well.
