Great review! I really am suprised he liked it. I mean, I liked it; I found it to be a really fun game, despite the ridiculous moral choices, but meh, I can live with them. People I know that kind of act like all-mighty bearers of truth complained about how repetitive it is. And how stupid the main character is. In fact, when I saw that Yahtzee had reviewed it, I thought he would completely and utterly destroy poor old inFamous! Haha, now I can rub in their faces that "if Yahtzee liked it, it must be good" :p

"First off, the joke was hilarious, and it was hilarious because its true. It riffs off of very real conservative initiatives in recent years like warmongering and torturing. And it doesn't take a "radical liberal" to either see these facts or find jokes about them funny.

But what's really telling here is the claim that by not telling jokes like this, we could reduce flame wars. What that really amounts to is a kind of threat, "if you guys make fun of us conservatives, then we're going to start flame wars! Wouldn't it be better if we all just kept quiet and pretended that the rampant flaws in the conservative ideology weren't there?" Which is typical of conservatives, using threats to try and squelch speech, ideas and facts."

I'm sorry but democrats want to censor anything from video games to radio shows to the internet itself. What a myopic loser you are. Seriously. I'm so tired of the fallout of the last 8 years. An entire generation of annoying populistic faux intellectuals has crawled out from under various rocks. Basically you're saying that conservatives exercising their freedom of speech is an affront to your freedom of speech? How is anyone here squelching anything?

Good review to remember when, years from now, I actually have landed and have secured a job long enough to actually afford a PS3.

Unbelievable! I was cringing when I saw Infamous in his crosshairs, but he actually liked it! And damn straight frankly; it's a killer game. Sucker Punch outdid themselves with this one, fixing almost every problem most sandbox games suffer from. But more importantly, they made it fun!

He even pointed out - in the credits - one of the things that impressed me: a sandbox game that has a legitimate reason for the character to die when they touch water!

If you own a PS3, you need to buy this game.

Wow, is it sad that I really didn't like the game that much before he said anything about it? After wards I am actually thinking about picking it up.... I had always thought that it was going to be kinda meh, but then I look back on Sucker Punch's track record and thought that it might be worth the spin.

I need something actually fun for a turn I guess lol.

The down syndrome Batman and six-foot Mars bar bits made me laugh. An amusing review!

I dont think Good/Evil is kinda shades of grey, but I agree these are like The TWO end of the spectrim (sp?). Id rather see quests where you actually do have a moral choice, besides Good and Evil, like Do I try to save all the patients in the hospital, the ones that have a better chance of survival or on the other hand let them try to get themselves out since they are mostly well and get the ones who really need help, or bugger trying to save them and let the authorities do it... Each one gives you a different outcome, but no friggin charmatic shift, instead you get a game reward for it. For saving everyone the town will help you even more for it, for saving the healthy ones you get a discount on meds, saving the sicker ones could make it so that not every tom dick and harry are asking you for help, but the ones that really need it (aka about to get blasted) and not the ones wanting you to stop a purse natcher. Dont save anyone and people will think a bit less of you. maybe someone will throw a rock, but not everyone.

I thought he was going to review red faction...

:'(
not out yet I think.
Its been out for ages, even in Australia of all places.

On topic, I haven't watched yet, but it looks good. Although I have never heard of this game before.

Nice closing remarks Yahtzee, but from your review, the rest of the game...sounds utterly boring. Been there, done that. Only this time with a moral choice system.

I was at least hoping Scribblenauts would claim the title of of being THE sandbox game because it lets you do everything. Yes, including traveling back in time to ride on dinosaurs to stomp robot zombies [http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=16184727&postcount=217], or make God fight Cthulu [http://ds.ign.com/dor/objects/14304256/scribblenauts/videos/scribble_demo_e3_061009.html]...or the Kraken [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTEUbtgpIgo].

I really enjoyed this review. He was a bit more positive than I expected him to be, but he also said most of the things I was thinking from the gameplay clips and first hand experiences I've seen/heard.

Makes me wish this was on the PS2... Oh well, if it's on the PC, I can get it someday when it's 20 bucks or cheaper.
