Ohhhhh damn poor stupid Nintendo-boys there are out there. I can smell their burnt brain cells from all the way over here.
I can picture you saying that while high fiving your friend and then commenting on how awesome the 360 is. You gotta understand, Yahtzee takes out the worst letters and makes fun of them. I'm sure there were actually some well thought out letters in there (futile, of course)

Look, it was funny and I liked it and all, but I'm really getting tired of Brawl, both on the internet and real life.

and lol at the white enough comment, but I disagree with the most balanced generation comment. Srsly, the 360 has the most "alright I guess I'll rent it" games and the Wii has like 3 gems with all the minigames while the PS3 has...well, I don't know.

Can we move on?

Meh, as someone who tried to defend the game from Yahtzee's review a bit back, I can say that I found this genuinely hilarious.

That's important because Yahtzee was able to answer criticisms without alienating his own fan base---though heaven knows if he really wants us around anyway!
He doesn't want fanboys around, he's made that abundantly clear.

Yahtzee's fanbase consists of people who are tired of ignorant fanboys infesting the internet, and who enjoy seeing them get their asses handed to them.

Are you honestly so naive that you think anyone even CARES about your opinion on a videogame? A word of advice: they don't.
Actually Yahtzee seems to have an abundance of his own fanboys, there has been a wealth of comments in this thread that dwarf the letters he reviewed in terms of stupidity.

im not sure whether that reply means you liked or detested the review. As you call me a butthurted reviewer for posting that i like the review
1- I called yahtzee a butthurted reviewer, not you
2- I loved the SSBB review because he points out a lot of flaws the game has.
3- I didn't liked this one.

He would say a lot of things, none of them polite. If you no longer like Yahtzee's humor, know that he isn't going to change it on your account. And pissing off the people that do like the humor isn't going to help your case.
Hey do you know where we are? yeah it's a forum. A place where people can give their opinion.
So, please, stop behaving like a yahtzee-fanboy and let me opine whatever I want about this "review", ok?

Oh, And I said I yahtzee whas maturer. I never talked about myself.

This week on Zero Punctuation, Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw reviews... us!

Pros: Keeps those Internet hits up so Yahtzee can feel like a valid human being

Cons: Vomits regularly into Internet forums and mailboxes and expects to be taken seriously

Overall score: 4 out of ∞

Seriously, as someone who came of age in the days of the NES and the Sega Master System (both of which I owned), the whole console fanboyism issue is as old as dirt as far as I'm concerned. It's just an extension of common human conceit- "what I like is the best, you are stupid for not liking it, and what you like should fail because I don't like it". That's not to say that you can't find it in my chosen realm, PC gaming; witness "AMD vs. Intel", "nVidia vs. ATI", and so on. I'd say Yahtzee pinned it down pretty squarely- this current generation of consoles is one of the most balanced yet, and just about any sort of game is possible these days... but of course, you have that crowd who think every game released should be a clone of Halo 3, GTA IV, Final Fantasy VII or The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy (I might just be imagining that last one, though). Fanboyism will go away at about the time we can depend on the majority of the population not to act like drooling morons.

You can hold your breath if you want to. Blue really isn't my color. ;)

Quite an amazing review, but then it's always fun to watch retards being destroyed by someone who spends most of his time doing just that. I love console wars and fan-boyz, largely because I own none of the consoles, and merely enjoying them at all my fanboy friends' houses.

To summarise, I give this review the score of pi.

In YOUR opinion, which we've already established is entirely insignificant and meaningless. Nobody cares what anonymous forum posters on the internet think.

If you don't enjoy the reviews, why are you people even here? Do you have nothing better to do than endlessly discuss the finer ramifications of Yahtzee's latest review on internet forums?

He makes fun of morons like you without cease and you still never get the message.
You seem to be replying to a lot of things I didn't even say, hurray for you.

I like how no matter what Yahtzee says, there's a group of fans who rabidly encourage him and talk about how he's the greatest thing ever.

On a COMPLETELY unrelated note, any of you familiar with the term irony?

Wow making sure no-one can post their opinion, yet allowing yourself to post your own. I'm sure Yahtzee can defend himself.

Well Played Indeed. While I disagree with some of your reviews (Your hatred of JRPG's and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune most notably, but as I am obsessed with pulpy-action-adventure and tend to overlook its vague racism because of that, I cannot be called objective) they ALL make valid points about some of the major flaws inherent in so called masterpieces. I personally loved Brawl, but your review explains why YOU didn't like it, and that makes perfect bloody sense in context. Great commentary on the console wars by the way.

The most interesting thing about Yahtzee is that he is the first videogame reviewer with a public persona, and this kind of discourse with his viewers helps to strengthen it. This is a significant step forward because it ascribes necessary importance to the reviewer, as opposed to remaining the faceless text generators reviewers currently are.

It also happened to be a funny edition of Zero Punctuation.
