Hell yah. (to all SSBB bitchers) why the hell is everyone getting all mad about this. It's a REVIEW. this the way he thinks about it. If you like SSBB then play it. I play SSBB and i get his point. I don't like the story or the shit load of time it takes to get some of the better things. I also hate alot of other thing about the game, but by now u have moved on to your next hate mail and won't give it a second thought. You guys need to suck it up and grow some balls. Yahtzee thank you for not letting these bitches get the better of you. keep up the good work.

Well there are. we are those who have no life's when you where young did you ever notice there where the children from your school you NEVER saw outside? they where busy tucked away in a dark hidey place playing games until they pass out due to lack o' food and/or sleep. I was one whoo! addmitingly Im never fond of my own posts and s instead of insulting the crap out of gaming, I just point my Wii-tard freinds in the general direction of Yahtzee's Reveiws, and hope that their thick skulls can understand half the stuff he says, without falling onto the ground from the slightest hint of anything complex.

Short version of before post would be the gamers who surronded me used to just either shoot the crap out of each other on an Xbox, or complete some long new adventure game, and then talk about it the next couple of weeks, nowerdays all I hear is "oh wii is such a smart and intellegent console and really helps you exersize (<-can't spell)" and "Oh yay a new mario game it is so awesome and great and amazing" I much preferd listening to people talking about blowing the crap out of each other on one game, or talking about some game with a good plot, or just good games in general.. Like any of the halflife series. (portal included), instead of gimickey same old crap.. like say Mario.

Nyeh I stop talking now, I suppose some of you might get where I'm coming from here.
I got that from your first post as well, just didn't feel like commenting on it, instead I pointed out the (in my opinion) preposterous one-liner.

I get where you are coming from, and I'll be damned if I don't use a lot of time infront of my xbox playing Smackdown vs. Raw, Madden, Mass Effect, GTA IV - or whatever - and do so for hours. Like I played Diablo and Diablo 2 and Warcraft 2 and Starcraft on the computer.

But people are entitled their own opinions, so screw what people think, instead you just play what you want to play, and they play what they want to play.

I mean, I hate 'The Sims', but that has still become one of the most successfull games ever, it got a lot of 'chicks' to spend time on their computer, doing literally nothing besides created a family and a house, and when the game really 'started' they quit the game, and started over. How the hell is there any sense in that? It's complete and utter garbage, isn't it? Apparently not.

People like games that you/me/your mate doesn't like, and in turn, you like games they don't.

Fanboys are all twats.

I was thinking more of something that makes sense, stuff like "complete the game with mario & luigi to unlock peach"
as opposed to "BEAT IT 100000000 TIMES TO GET SOMEONE YOU EXPECTED TO BE THERE FROM THE START"
I don't see people complaining about some timesplitters characters which are locked from the start...
Why are characters even locked in a multiplayer title? That's complete bollocks however you look at it.

Forcing people to play singleplayer in a multiplayer game, is like forcing people to sit at home, and have a 'singleplayer' party.
Because without unlockable stuff, the game would be pretty shallow, plus it gives the person an aim to go for.
Oh, and this argument should have ended a week and a half ago. On the 1000+ post SSBB forum. Let's not repeat the same arguments over and over and over AND OVER AD NAUSEUM UNTIL I'M FORCED TO WRITE IN CAPITAL LTRS & UZ WEB SALNG, SOMTHING I GENERLY DONT DO!

Its nice to see people who think that just because they can share their opinion should put in their place. Hooray for Yahtzee.

Eh may I point out the fact that some may be from Europe and have hyped up a game they don't even have yet.

Hilarious. Especially the end.

I am "white enough" to own all the consoles and agree completely with Yahtzee's estimate. As much as I LOVE SSBB and think it is GOTY material, no game is ever for anyone and I respect that.

Looking forward to the GTAIV review. That overtook SSBB for me, and I HATED GTA3, GTA VC and GTA SA. Didn't think they were worth playing at all. GTAIV is a masterpiece.

Care to indulge as to how this opinion came to be? I personally loved all the games, including GTA I, GTA II and GTA II London (or whatever it's called). But I found the lack of garages and actual options to use your money for propety a bit crappy. "Hi here's 500000$" "Cheers mate" "But you're not allowed to spend it on anything, and it's not a plot-device either."

Very nice. You speak the truth about the games you review, and your videos never fail to make me laugh.

All those SSBB fan boys can go cry and cut themselves about how Nintendo's "greatest" hits are a bunch of recycled garbage.

I agree with what was said about numbers being used in reviews. How someone can tell how good a game is by some person saying it is whatever percent of some arbitrary number is beyond me. I think the simple truth of it is that it simplifies reviews down to something small and short enough for the huge amounts of blatant fuzztards of the internet to comprehend. It allows them to associate a number with positivity etc. For example the number 7, which everybody loves and its a number that's frequently invited to parties and never has to buy its own drinks because well mannered and good looking people will buy drinks for 7. But 7 can't compare to the likes of 9, which everyone loves. Especially the people that price everything £9.99 in the belief that everyone wants to have a stupid amount of copper coins no one has any use for. I think i've lost the plot. Anywho back on topic, well as much as is humanly possible.
What numbers don't tell you (even 7 & 9), is what the game is like to play. A review that says it is essentially played by beating your head against the controller until you either win or loose consciousness is ostensibly better than a single number. The sort of people that are placated by having nice numbers in a box that says rating are most likely not going to read all that nasty squiggles by the side of it Now i've completely lost the point of what I was saying but as i've written this all out now, there's no point in not posting. Rant over until I can find something else to complain about. Which could quite possibly not take very long. And now i've realised that this post is obscenely much longer than everyone else's.

my letter to Yahtzee:

"I think your stalling...

but nevertheless, good form, despite having to stoop down to their level, and actually entering a discourse with your critics (read: walking wii-whore fanboy orifi* [*or is it orifices?])

Anyway, i'm sending this to you and not the comments board because i tried that, and my internet failed. so straight to the source.

Did you notice the first letter defeats itself.

"SSBB is awesome... the reason you dont like SSBB is that you were crap at it ... dont try to blame it on bad controls [sorry, contols] or opponents having super moves that strike you out in one hit"

In the same big breath, Jeremy Gigaballs proclaims the awesome supremecy of SSBB, before going on to, himself, point out its bad control scheme and unbalanced AI. when, as you pointed out you didnt actually mention these fair grounds for criticism.

who's the twat now?

..oh wait, its probably me, its 3 am, and I'm seeking validation from a man I heard on the internet. "

I can't be bothered to import or anything like that, I just wait for the PAL release (Might be my downfall, but my friends know that I do not wish to have all the spoilers revealed to me.). Although I am happy now that we have a release date for it.

The only thing I can see is a more consistent storyline, and a more likeable main character.

Besides that, the exact same gameplay with slight additions and slight lacks - and vastly improved graphics.

Same could be said for the Playstation and X-box side aswell, but then again most people are biased to certain consoles, that they don't admit it.
