I gotta admit, this was one of the best written ones - After the "backhanded compliment" section, I felt like there was something else coming. I kept waiting for... something. I wasn't sure what I was waiting for, until the Ravenholme section. Then it all became clear. This is definitely my favorite review in quite a while.

To be fair, most of the things Yahtzee complains about Insomniac ripping out Valve are things that were in the first Resistance (health packs, weapon wheel, alien hive infecting humans, etc). Which many people complained because Resistance 2 forgot in order to be more Modern-Warfare-like.

Also, the whole anagram thing with Combines and Insomniac is a little far-fetched...

Very true, but if you look at the previous comments you can tell that most of the people don't know this and are taking YZ seriously.
And I wonder why I never ever look at the comments under his videos. There are so many sheep here that I could eat lamb chops every meal of every single day for the rest of my life.

Wow, a very funny review. While Yahtzee can't find any too much wrong with the game he still make the video work by pointing out all the increasing small similarities with half life 2.

Pity he didn't make any reference to insomniac's ratchet and clank along the lines of "This seris only existed so that the programmers could get gore effects on thier CV" (note this is not a complaint on the resistance seris)

Wow... completely unexpected. May have to slide this into a spot in my gamefly queue... maybe in the spot I had Battlefield 3. I'm looking for a FPS with a 90's style of weapons and health that isn't a monster spam fest like Serious Sam or Painkiller. Not that there's anything wrong with those games of course. I mean I love eating pizza but I can't expect to enjoy the same thing day after day..

Hehe, the ending actually got a loud chuckle out of me (dont usually actually laugh out LOUD at stuff like this even though I enjoy it). I may actually have to check Resistance out if I ever get a PS3. Would probably be the only shooter I buy for the system.

Yeah, it make me "curious" (mildly) to play it even thought I absolutely hated the first and as such avoided the second.

Yeah, I didn't see this coming at all. I had to actually replay a few moments to just to make sure I heard him right and to enjoy the jokes again. Well glad to see Resistance 3 got alot of things right like the medkits and carrying more than two weapons at a time.

Kinda hoping next week he reviews Warhammer 40,000 even if he just bashes it to bits but honestly I just didn't see this coming at all.

As soon as he started bashing it, I was like "Wait a minute...Yahtzee should LOVE this game.." then I watched him back track, I was like "see told ya!" then I laughed at the Number 23 stuff.
