I think some concrete walls with airlocks which can be flooded with some kind of flesh and bones melting acid would suffice... Or which can be turned into an incinirator at the push of a button...

I suggest sending out robots to build these.

Well, since I am one of the few survivors nobody's gonna bother enforcing the law to stop me from plundering several thousands of microchips and other electonin components, or have my robots rip apart buildings to use the materials for said walls...
Aside from some zombiefied cops maybe...

I'd take my normal purse.
-Several multitools, one of which has a hammer
-A small bag of nails/screws
-Basic tools
-Small pry bar
-Small sewing kit
-Water
-Snacks
-Basic first aid kit
-Rope
-A shovel (no, I'm not kidding)
-Copious amounts of duct tape

That's all stuff I carry around normally, so I don't think it would be too much. In addition to this, I'd go with my thick, bite-proof Carhartt jacket, work gloves, safety goggles and my work boots.

As far as weapons go, I'd take my crossbow (silent sniping), my machete, and my African spear.
That is one scary purse. >.>
Love the duct tape, I was actually going to post my own response to my OP in a bit, there shall be lots and lots of tape. =3

It's spelled MacGyver!

*ahem*

Sorry about that. Anyway, I would get a boat and put enough food to last for three months in it, along with a good supply of ammo for my 30-30 and my .17. Then I would go out into the lake and relax, going near shore to have fun sniping zombies and to root around for supplies.
Guess I have to pay this one.
They aren't going to swim, but watching for tugs on the anchor is probably a good idea. =3

Lets see I would pack a backpack with the following:
- 2 Bottles of Water
- 3 packets water proof matches
- a knife
- a map
- a compass
- spare food (crackers, anything with a low perishable rate and easy/small to carry.)
- spare shirt
- a sharpie
- a swiss army knife
- 2 rolls of duct tape

For my weapon I would use a compound bow they're not heavy to cary and about 30-40 arrows bundle them up. Ten I would use a horse to travel. Stay away from heavy populated towns and stick to riding on the grass. The horses hoofs would give off to much sound on the pavement. If I needed to travel into a town I would walk and leave the horse in a safe place. take the Bow, a few arrows, and the knife. Look for stuff I need and survive. you can always make and reuse arrows.

Ok, given the rules of the game and considering it happens right now as I type this:

Going to Wendy's and loading up. Why Wendy's? They'll be there right now and I'm hungry. Then I'm coming back home and pulling the car into the garage (no windows, reinforced doors already).

I'm not leaving town. Why? There is enough food, ammo, and supplies to last me months in my neighbor's houses. Why else? Everyone else will be fleeing. They'll deplete supplies and starve elsewhere. There will be enough left over here due to limited space in their getaway vehicles. Several neighbors will run to the market and die there. This will leave their homes full.

Distractions:
Neighbor's automatic trans cars.
RC Aircraft
Neighbor's animals
Fireworks on hand

Current weapons:
XD40, 500 rounds.
Broad sword (cheap, but it'll take a few down if it comes to it.)

Current armor
Chemical warfare gear including mask. (It sucks, but it'll keep the blood off me)

First priority:
Water - the towers will run out within a couple days. I'd fill a couple large containers I have to give me at least a few days. Beyond this I'd have to venture out.

Second priority:
Fuel - My car's inverter will give me enough power for basic needs.

Third priority:
Plan for large scale controlled genocide of zombies. This will take weeks to plan and put together. Better start sooner than later. This will allow me move more freely once started but will be the most dangerous priority.

Further priorities will come up. Ammo and water will be recurring.
Good plan, only one problem - your plan about staying in town? Not a good idea. Why? Cholera. As well as other diseases. Despite the fact that the zombies apparently won't decay, there WILL be a large number of corpses in urbanised areas, which will create a lot of disease and plague which will most likely kill you in the most horrid way possible.

As for me? Well, I'm a student who lives in tightly-packed student accommodation where blood, saliva, etc, will spread extremely quickly.

I live in the middle of one of the most urbanised areas in England.

I have pretty much no useful weapons or protection other than some juggling knives.

I have not read ANY zombie survival guides, because I reckon there won't be a zombie apocalypse in the first place.

Yeah, I'm just gona lay down and accept my new post-mortem fun times :p Hopefully it'll be something like this...

Some plate armor, a gas mask, a poleaxe, and a mace (not the canned variety). They can't hurt me through my armor, can't infect me through the gas mask, and I can make a murder of them with my poleaxe. If it breaks or they get too close, beat their heads in with the mace.
I'm loving the medieval angle (even if finding all the stuff could prove problematic). However, your breathing will be hampered when you wear a gas mask. The average person would be sucking wind hard even after running 1 mile with that thing on let alone with all the plate armor. I can see all this being useful if you are going for a 'last stand' but it's not practical.

As for myself, I'd choose to wear military issue combats as they have plenty of big pockets to store things. I would be vulnerable to bites and scratches but I would still have full movement. For footwear, I'd go for light hiking boots... comfortable enough for me to be mobile for hours but sturdy enough for me to traverse rough terrain.

I'd also wear a tactical vest for storing weapon mags, knives (Swiss army included), first aid kit, flashlights, extra gloves, water canteen etc. I'd have a small backpack with extra socks (if I let my feet become hamburger meat from the constant movement, I won't be able to run let alone walk anymore), t-shirts, underwear as well as whatever dry rations and non-perishables I could get my hands on.

As for weapons, I would want: a machete, a shotgun and a pistol. Anything more and I'm too bogged down to be effective.

Well in this scenario my weapon of choises would be a Sawd-off doublebarreled shotgun and a small caliber pistol. These are the types of zombies that i'm not going to get close to so smallish weapons = running speed. I would also carry a small amount of tools whit me in case i need to set camp or steal a car (wrench, knife etc.) Then i would proceed to my car and drive off from the city and wait in some cottage in middle of no-where for zombies to die off. (I can wait years if i have to and for the food i would simply drive to nearby store and blast couple zombies while im in there)(btw, i live in a country that doesn't have too many people in it so i'm not going to face hundres of zombies in middle of no-where)

Edit: Oh, and a gas-mask would be cool i guess.

Inspired by the manga Highschool of The Dead, I shall arm myself with blades, bullets, and boobies!

Seriously now, I wouldn't survive two seconds in a zombie apocalypse with realistic restrictions. My choice of weapon is irrelevant.

all right I did post on the previous one but since you're asking for a more in depth idea here we go...
I'm in fairly good shape as well so I'm basing my carry capacity around 100 pounds.
I already own the three guns I'd take with me and I do keep a fair bit of ammunition for all of them. A Cugir arms PSL, bayonette and 1000 meter scope, and 880 rounds (two spam cans worth), A Winchester model 12 pump action shotgun, 100 slug rounds, and a Taurus Raging bull, 250 454 rounds. This all should weigh in around 65 - 75 pounds.
I'd also bring about 20 more pounds of pasta for emergency food.
two rolls of tp cause when you've got to drop a duce you may as well be comfortable.

My first bet would be to hole up locally, either in a gun shop or in a house with really thick walls. Only engage targets when needed. kill local livestock for further sustainence. Band together with the other people I know with guns and stay alive for as long as possible.

Second bet, In salem county new jersey (about 50 miles from my home) there is an abondoned Radio bunker site (used during the war to maintain communication / survailence in the event of a serious bombing.) I've worked on this site before so I know the combos for the locks. It's rural and easy for me to access. Again banding together with my gun owning friends and survive on local livestock.

My girlfriend recons she would feed the zombies her co workers, managment first.
As for me I would want one of those big air filled hamster balls, you know the ones that allow you to cross water and roll down a hill. Then i can go where ever I like going over the zombies. As said the zombies are slow but strong, so i might set a push in the wrong direction every now and then, nothing was said that the zombies have sharp claws so I should be pritty safe.

1. Grab clothes, food, water, a shovel or simlilar weapon, other supllies from my house and get in my parent's Cheverlet Traverse.
2. Go to nearest Metro (grocery store) and stock up. If it's too dangerous and/or all supplies are gone then drive away.
3. Assuming my parents and brother are dead, then grab my best friends and girlfriend. If my family is alive then screw my friends (although I will get my gf).
4. Move on to North Bay, Ontario. Raid nearby gas stations, food souces, and hardware stores.
5. Keep moving north to Temagami. It's a small hick town in Northern Ontario and it is a perfect spot to resupply all necessities (there is a fresh water spring, a giant warehouse that sells propane, and a grocery store).
6. A little farther north down a pebble road deep in the forest is my cottage. It is wooden, small, no electricity save for a huge solar generator and propane generator. There isn't any running water but there is a pump inside that gets water from the lake 30 meters away and filters it.
7. Set the place up for defense: get the guns out (I don't know what some of them are) 2 shotguns, a .22 caliber hunting rifle, another .32 hunting rifle, a .44 revover, a german walther, and a "saturday night special". Plenty of ammo for the shotguns and rifles but pistol ammo is scarce. Put the bars (meant for preventing bears from breaking in) on windows, make sure the 2 boats are fueled up just incase we have to escape to neighbours cottage.
8. Search our only neighbour's cottage (across the lake) and turn on his solar generators and keep some emergancy supplies in his fridge (can't keep everything in our own).
9. Try and set up contact to government via the radio broadcasting station in New Lisker and hope for rescue.

Hopefully, this setup will work out.

Probably the best gun-ho answer so far.
Two things though.

Pasta is crunchy. =3 Water supply?

Guns are loud, zombies are attracted to such.

If I have enough warning I can pick up my Dad who has a rifle and is a good shot, if not then my Weapons are:
A pair of garden shears - extendable to 3 feet(ish)- can easily be secured to my camping pack OR a large shovel
The largest knife I can find
Any reasonably long melee weapons I can find

Clothing - Old WWII gas mask courtesy of my local museum or my gran
Warm tracksuit bottoms/ jeans (swap which one i wear depending on conditions)
Shirt(s)
Warm jacket with detachable fleece - I use this for camping normally
Boxers and socks + spares
Hiking Boots
Hat + Gloves

Equipment:
Tent - small + light, it's just enough for me + my pack
Solar powered torch - reluctant to take wind up torch as it makes loads of noise
Wallet with money taken from my bank account - mostly notes - some loose change
Can opener + bowl + cutlery - all camping gear, small and lightweight
Swiss Army Knife
A coil of strong but lightweight rope

Aim 1: Find an evacuation point (if there are any), if not find better weapons

Aim 2: Shelter/ supplies: Leave my town, go somewhere less crowded, preferably a small hamlet, go to the safest spot in that town and make a loud noise to attract zombies in the town, kill them or run if there are too many, once all zombies are dead hunt the town for supplies and spend a day or two to rest. Rinse and repeat when any zombies from other areas come within sight.

Aim 3: Find other survivors and establish a small, secure community and eventually move onto a zombie cull.

I have an old gasmask incase of it becoming airborn. There's a few surplus and military stores near me which I can get body armor and a few weapons from. Take a few of my stuff to the corner shop next to me which only has one entrance point and loads of long lasting food, and board up there.

Understood and agreed.
Whether I leave or stay this will be a concern. People will be flocking to sub-urban and rural areas. Have an idea of where to go? Others will know it and try it.

Disease control will be the biggest issue I'll have with water. Water loss due to cleanliness will be a necessary evil. The gas mask will be plenty for filtering biological threats for a while. Beyond this, my third priority will be dealing with the dead... or the re-dead. Fire is cleansing. I have maps which will help in looking for fire breaks. I'll have to find construction equipment to help with this. Of course this will be a major load on fuel, but another necessary evil.

Ooooh, I forgot Priority 4. Priority 4 is to find a tank. It doesn't have to be an army tank. There will be levels of tanks. Box truck or F350 4X4 dually will probably be the first. Second will hopefully be an RV. After that, one of the 30-60 ton tugs (Yukes) they use to tow aircraft with. These things come with inch or two thick plating for weight, but are good for brute force as well. Ofcourse, a real tank would be great, but it'll be at least a week or two before bases are over run. I'll have to edit my first post.

I suppose that ideally I'd go with a lightsaber. Something light, easy to use and would burn as well as slice so as to avoid being infected from blood spraying from attacks.

Before you being screaming (but lightsabers don't exist dumbass) allow me to explain via a youtube video

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9aJfXl7frdQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

Granted strictly this is a plasma cutter but the technology does exist. Hell you can use water to cut steel if you can get the pressure high enough

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rXb0JUtayGE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

Just saying, the tech is out there. Provide some cash to fund a project and you could have a zombie killing super machine powered by nature ^_^
