best tool to use against a zombie horde

after watching 28 weeks later i found the best wep...... a helicoptor :D but what do you think would be one of the more useful wepons

keep in mind, ammo, fuel, weight, is it cumberson, effectiveness.

also what music would you like to be your zombie rampage killing music
for me i think charging down zombies with a helicoptor or 18 wheeler with black betty by spiderbait playing would be made of win.

Two 30lbs miniguns. I'd be churning out a hailstorm of 30.000 rounds a minute with a recoil of 50lbs, my arms will flail widely as death tears through the zombies and create a whole new apocalypse.

Alternatively I could mount my noble steed and ride into battle [http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk280/Lightles/ridingintobattle.png], saving surviving damsels and... Well that's the only thing I would do. Maybe go kaboom when I can't escape the incoming menace any longer, but I hope that won't happen.

if any of you had read the Zombie Survival Guide you would know that the crowbar is the best thing to have against zombies. No moving parts so it won't ever jam or fall apart. It's sturdy so it won't break (so long as you get a good quality one). It doesn't rely on ammunition or fuel, which are limited in the zombacolypse. Finally, it doubles as a tool for helping you survive. Crowbar, FTW

A sledgehammer would work just as good, maybe even better.
If you can break something open, you can smash something open. And thanks to the great smashing power you can break even more things open.

Drawback, it's slightly heavier.

Also far more efficient in clubbing down zombies.

Crowbar and a Lobotomizer (double-headed battleaxe that also functions as a shovel).

What kind of action, bolt?, lever?, Semiauto?
Id carry a leveraction .30-06, its well balaced with a good weight, range, power, and accuracy. Id also carry a pump action 12 guage shotgun, its got a good balance between power and recoil, in case any of those zombie bastards snuck up behind me. Ammo shouldnt be a problem since both ammo types are readily available just about anywhere. Also a machete might be good to carry too, since reloading can be a pain.

Slightly heavier? A sledgehammer is significantly heavier. Also a crowbar is sharper, better for piercing the skull and destroying the brain, which we all know is vital.

there can be no replica of chuck norris. It would cause a paradox destroying all reality leaving only chuck norris to re-create the universe

Full body chainmail, one piece so theres no holes for the zombies to pull it off.
Zombies can't bite through thick chainmail, and they're not resourceful enough to disassemble it or use weapons against you.

That and a solid pick axe/ice climbing pick, it's nice for cracking skulls.

Well, alot people go for chainsaw, which would be effective... for 10 minutes. The chainsaw requires gas meaning that after a bit it would be useless, plus its really, really, loud so you can be sure that every single zombie in the area is gonna be on your ass in a matter of minutes, so chainsaws a no go for me. I'd have to say a silenced hand gun with a few boxes of extra ammo, and an extra silencer in case the other one breaks some how. Quick, effective, quiet, light, and easy to aim. And for melee, a cleaver, and I'd also take a few vinyl records with me as well :)
Bye the way I know next to nothing about guns so don't be asking me what kind of handgun or anything like that, because I have no clue myself.

For melee, the Shaolin Spade, ends are bladed in such a way that thrusting attacks have the impact of an axe, making it easy to decapitate the undead, and also the weapon has reach, which is something you want here because if they are close enough to grab, then they're close enough to bite.

For ranged combat, the M1 Garand, reliable weapon, not prone to jamming, very accurate. Easy to take apart and clean. Can be fitted with a bayonet. The weapon is not automatic but is able to fire very rapidly, the lack of a semi-auto or full-auto mode is important, as it would keep one from wasting shots.

Well, carrying only one weapon would be a very bad idea. Granted, staying mobile is key, but not taking a backup weapon equals death. So I'd probably say the best weapons to have would be some sort of bolt action rifle and a crowbar.

If I could find one, a trench spike would be pretty nice to have too.
