Another odd place to find ammo is in Silent Hill. Cannot quite remember which one, but my brother found a shotgun. In the elementary school. Along with a number of handgun bullets. This made me wonder "Why the hell did the kids only have bullets and no handguns?" along with "Wait a sec, why the hell did they have bullets in the first place?!"

Odd game.

Having a zombie game without guns wouldnt work, to survive melee combat, zombies would have be slowwwwww. It can work as a movie or comic (walking dead), but not as survival horror.

There wouldnt be enough user interaction to be immersive

well if it was realistic, you'd have to use hammers to kill zombies. for example in england, we don't have guns and ammo virtually anywhere. so a zombie game set over here would have to consist of using cricket bats/pork pies/staplers unless it was unrealistic. also... aren't the zombies the most unrealistic part of a zombie game? not the strangely placed ammo.

I would love to play a zombie game that doesn't give you guns.
It would add a new survival element to the survival-horror genre.
It sounds like Dead Rising 2 is supposed to be like that, kinda. You find items and create your own weapons. I don't know if they're planning to have guns in it at all...
