As someone who played the game in both its original and "Reloaded" forms for well past 400 hours (and made nearly fifty videos of it), APB's wasted potential seriously hurt. The game spoiled me forever for character/equipment customization, but that fantastic system is glued to a game made completely out of half-thought-out, incomplete concepts with broken implementations and not much in the way of competitive balance, with a disgustingly toxic community (the reason I ended up quitting). I check on the Steam reviews from time to time and it looks like the current owner has made little progress in improving the game, despite promises of porting to a newer version of the Unreal Engine.I forgot this game even existed. Look at that, another GTA clone that went nowhere, and tried to be an MMO with half the playable content locked behind a paywall. This game set a precedence that had yet to come AAA, but was not that far on the horizon.
I tried playing the game when the "Reloaded" version came out. I played for a few hours and stopped because I never really understood what I was supposed to "do."As someone who played the game in both its original and "Reloaded" forms for well past 400 hours (and made nearly fifty videos of it), APB's wasted potential seriously hurt. It's just really a pity. Could it have made good on all the promises, if it'd had a solid management team forming the backbone of the studio? I don't know, but it never had a chance with what it got, and now it's barely more than a shambling wreck that doesn't know when to stop.
They're idiots. It's why GR is never worth my attention.Oh come on Gamesradar, you can’t possibly be so gullible as to still be thinking anything about this stupid thing is legit in any way -
Hurray (deadpanned).Speaking of something legitimately abandoned -

When Nintendo and Emulation came up, all I could think of was "I'll feel bad about emulating Wind Waker when you put it on the Switch. Your move, Nintendo".
Go for it. I rarely buy a Nintendo console for the first party games. Even back then. The most I ever did was for the GameCube era. When Nintendo and Emulation came up, all I could think of was "I'll feel bad about emulating Wind Waker when you put it on the Switch. Your move, Nintendo".
I mean, I've griped about it before. Nintendo's biggest strength are their first party exclusives. Mario, Zelda, Metriod, etc. They'll put out a new one every 5 or so years to give them ample time to tinker and polish and not oversaturate the market, and the fact they don't put it out on any other consoles means you have to go to Nintendo for the hardware if you want to play said exclusives.Go for it.
