Once again, none of us never said it does not happen them, but they usually, don't get it as bad. But I bet you if certain people in their audience (not all of course) found out that voices behind the cute anime girls where not white or at least not Asian, some of them would happily abandoned and become "not interested". Or they would be more than happy to leave them to the hate raiders.

Your favorite convenience store keeps getting robbed. Instead of demanding that the police do their job, the owner locks down the store- only three people allowed inside at any time, with armed escorts, and you have to show your ID to get in and keep your hands in view at all times. No speaking, head down, and the guards can kick you out without letting you buy anything whenever they choose to.
You gonna keep shopping there, or are you gonna start going somewhere else? Because that's what the assholes want- for the streams to get so restricted in response to their antics that the viewers go somewhere else. And I suspect that you know this.
I just find it weird that as much as Critical claims he hates Twitch, he's more than ready to bat for them with their head-in-the-sands tatics and enabling of racist, sexists, ant-gay/lesbian, and trans-phobic assholes. Yet when it comes to women streamers allowed to get more fan-servicey with no consequence, then he will panic because it's not "according to plan".
I mean... your analogy works if the person robbing the convenience store can just alter their entire appearance whenever they want so the cops can't find them. Like what do you want Twitch to do? Physically locate the house of the spammers and kick their door in and beat the crap out of them? The fundamental issue is how easy it is to just make a new account to replace one that gets perma-banned.
I dunno, maybe Twitch should ask Youtube for tips. In my Coco example, because Coco was the highest Super-Chat earner on Youtube before her graduation from Hololive (She's now back to indie streaming though) they decided to experiment with a new system that seemed to succeed in cleaning up her chat. However this could very well be something that's only done for people deemed "worth the effort" from a monetary perspective so it could lead to more "haves" and "have nots" and eventually be circumvented. I dunno.
Raids in my experience are just friendly streamers helping eachother while also bettering the experience of the audience with a helpful reccomendation which may show them new content they enjoy, never have I seen it be bad. But again I only watch fighting game streams, not the gender-tag-based ones or politics-based ones or the ones where girls paint their tits or take baths or work out and expect people to pay them for that activity. Our community is pretty insular for better or worse. I guess in the case of twitch it's for the better lol.
Doesn't work; it's already been mentioned. Kinda gives the racists harassers the extra edge as they want to drive off those different from them.

See, I feel like what streamer culture needs is some history lessons on the internet ecosystem prior to/outside the curated social media bubble. So much drama comes from shit that anyone with an online presence 10-15 years ago has seen a thousand times (particular laughter directed at the people playing PubG or Apex or whatever and complaining that they're getting killed by gankers watching their streams). By its very nature Twitch is going to expose you to vast quantities of fuckwits, but it's like nobody has any idea what to expect from that now.
I don't think the big issue is people being mean to streamers in the chat, the issue is that spammers do drive off viewers and limit audience interaction which hurts the income of streamers. The whole appeal for a lot of streaming is audience interaction, walls of spam effectively remove this. There is being an asshole then there is being actively malicious. People shouldn't have to tolerate people trying to fuck with their livelihood. Whether they can actually manage to do something about it is another story.
Thank you for pointing what some of the users aren't or did not want to get. Another thanks for showing empathy, and not just passive agressiveness, indifference, whataboutism, nor victim blaming like some of the users on here have been doing. It's the assholes that need to change, but most likely, need to be kicked out and gotten rid of.
I just ignore them. You can't even see YouTuber shorts if you're using a video game console, desktop, or a web app on your phone. Just YT app itself hasthis.
