A lot of streamers seem to be very upset with Twitch at least. Like... one I know called ShyLilly would get banned because of her Vtuber avatar and doing lewd things on stream yet some other streamer can literally have sex on stream, get banned, COME BACK, and then do it again. It's just so inconsistent with its rules and so much content just disappears whereas on Youtube people have video backlogs to continue getting attention with so they don't have to go at it hard all the time. I'm just repeating what I've seen and heard as I'm not a Twitch viewer.
The inconsistancy of enforcing the rules has been a big bug bear with Twitch for a long time. I don't know if a bunch of people on their staff is just a bunch of simps or what, but there have been several streamers that got banned for even talking shit about the titty streamers. Meanwhile Amouranth shows her pussy on stream, Alinity flashes the camera, and other girls even outright get FUCKED on stream, and it's totally fine. Tiny bans, slaps on the wrist and nothing more. Meanwhile no forgivence is given to other streamers (mostly male) whatsoever.
Many big streamers called it out as well including Destiny, xQc, Asmon, and more.
It's not that people care about getting banned for violations, it's that nobody can tell what the rules even are because they are not enforced in a consistant way. Twitch, and Youtube both fail badly in this department, however Youtube is a bit understandable due to the sheer size of Youtube. But Twitch has no excuse, there is not enough streamers fucking around to have such a random rule enforcement. Not to mention people are super eager to report fuck ups on Lifestreamfails and the like, most of the clips end up on youtube funny enough.
IMO, Twitch needs a restructuring, and they need to makea few decisions regarding the platform.
1. Decide what content is allowed on the platform. Bikini titty streams were once illegal, hell non-gaming stream were once not allowed. Now it seems anything goes. That can't be the case. A clear outline of what is allowed on Twitch needs to be declared and explained clearly to everyone.
2. A new ToS. Like with #1, they need to make decisions on what streamers can and cannot do on stream. Including but not limited to, how they dress, how they interact with their audience, streamers responsibility of their chat, how streamers are paid or can be paid, and so on.
3. Non-streamer users, aka just people who watch, also need to agree to a wholely enforced ToS. A streamer shouldn't be at fault if you run into a stream and spam bullshit, or racist/homophobic slurs or whatever on their stream. The chat system should automatically detect and ban you from the entire website full stop. That way issues like when minority streamers got bot spammed with racist shit wouldn't happen becuase the chat system would automatically detect, delete, and ban that shit.
4. And then simply be consistant with enforcement. A female streamer shouldn't be able to flash her tits, or be sexual ojn stream, nor should a male streamer. There is a difference being someone finding you sexy, and you making sexual content on stream. Unless of course they decide to allow it as per Number 1.
