So to be clear you're mocking the idea that they're aiming stuff at children by showcasing a children's tv character tweeting about getting the vaccine?
And you don't see any irony in putting the two posts so close toghther?
I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be laughing at the pearl clutching in trying to treat "get vaccinated" as some objectionable political statement, if it wasn't so sad. It's pure tribalistic stupidity on so many levels. Setting aside that "a shot hurts a little but it's worth it" is very much in line with Sesame Street's fare, leave us not forget that it is not new. We saw Elmo getting vaccinated in 2015. We saw Big Bird getting a Measles shot
in 1972.
"*Le gasp!* A kid's show indicating that kids shouldn't be scared of a vaccination shot? This is
completely unprecedented and unacceptable!" *eyeroll*
So, not to mince words, people getting offended that Sesame Street would dare to do something like this really is as simple as people being stupid.
