You not giving a shit and not bothering to remember or notice my posts unless you can try to dunk on me using them doesn't suddenly make them stop existing

Oh so they've finally decided on it then? Because it wasn't fully decided the other week pretty much.

Also still doesn't undermine my point.

Back into the ether you go to pop up again later I'm sure with yet another pitiful attempt like this.
What IS your point? That educational kids icons shouldn't communicate to kids about important issues that are affecting the whole world and probably causing them anxiety?

So to be clear you're mocking the idea that they're aiming stuff at children by showcasing a children's tv character tweeting about getting the vaccine?
And you don't see any irony in putting the two posts so close toghther?

Nope. Vaccines good, poorly acted bizarro hyper-capitalist right wing propaganda hilarious

Have you ever considered that the push to make sure kids know about this all the time might be causing some of that anxiety?

I dunno maybe we could have Big Bird teaching numbers and letters like he used to?

I mean even with an environmental theme we didn't need the Suntots telling us the entire world was going to end if as kid we weren't on the ball with the stuff they were on about.

Context for people who don't get the reference

But big bird suggesting your health will be impacted without the vaccine while true it seems more like a scare tactic sort of thing considering again targeting kids.

He's not saying that, he's saying hey it isnt a horrible thing to be feared.
It normalises it for them, making something that may seem scary (needles poking your flesh) a simple thing not to be scared of. Kid psychology 101.

I remember when Mr. Rogers talked about death and mortality on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and it making a lot of sense to me as a kid.

But Big Bird trying to demystify vaccines? Bridge too far, apparently.

Remember, even Mr. Rogers is an "evil, evil man" according to conservatives nowadays...

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be laughing at the pearl clutching in trying to treat "get vaccinated" as some objectionable political statement, if it wasn't so sad. It's pure tribalistic stupidity on so many levels. Setting aside that "a shot hurts a little but it's worth it" is very much in line with Sesame Street's fare, leave us not forget that it is not new. We saw Elmo getting vaccinated in 2015. We saw Big Bird getting a Measles shot in 1972.

"*Le gasp!* A kid's show indicating that kids shouldn't be scared of a vaccination shot? This is completely unprecedented and unacceptable!" *eyeroll*

So, not to mince words, people getting offended that Sesame Street would dare to do something like this really is as simple as people being stupid.

Big Bird suggesting to get the shot isn't scare tactics for getting the vaccine, this is scare tactics for getting the vaccine;
