I agree with Cvit. I much prefer the first game over the second game. The second game drags on for too long, and I actually remembered stop my playthrough, because I got bored.

In the opening sequence, one of the following things Nakia was working on undercover assignments. So Wakanda did do undercover work to help as seen when TChaka was extracting NakiaI found it interesting when someone pointed out that wakanda is real close to South Africa. So they sat on thee doorstep of Apartheid and did Jack shit about it.
I feel like that would have been an interesting subplot at least for the film, though it might have bloated it a bit.In the opening sequence, one of the following things Nakia was working on undercover assignments. So Wakanda did do undercover work to help as seen when TChaka was extracting Nakia
But they couldn't take an open stance on it because aside from their isolation you don't fight the CIA no matter how high tech you were, a resoruce rich country is going invite the worst kind of intelligence agencies who can outfinance and outplay Wakandan espionage by brute force

I guess I shouldn't really complain. Marvel rarely addresses the political implications of shit that happens in their films. Winter Soldier came the closest and even then that's "Oh, the Entire US government was infiltrated by Hydra because background checks are for pussies".
Not really. The problem with Scorsese's argument, is that he felt every single superhero or MCU film are all roller coaster rides with no meaning. That's a load of crap. I may not like every MCU film either, but to say that is just the cries of an old man that's upset that his mafia films ain't popular anymore, nor as much as they used to be. And keep in mind, this is the old white guy complaining about his movies that usually have racist mobsters. And those mobster movies don't exactly portray blacks or other non white races with the best depictions. Look at movies like Black Panther, Spider-Verse, Watchmen TV sequel series, etc. To say that they lack meaning, or are just emotionless roller coaster rides most of the time, is just shallow nihilism/cynicism and not backing up your facts. It's the near same equivalent of saying nothing you do matters. And when I last checked, not all of gangsters or mafia movies are good. Also, there are plenty of that are just a shallow and more so, compared to the average superhero movie. Once you seen three or four different mob movies, they all blend in together or sound the same. It's why I don't even bother with them anymore, nor prison movies. I'm either frustrated, bored, or depressed.Part of the problem is these storylines, from what I understand at least, are all based on comics from much different times, in multiple senses of the term. Also the studio probably is of the mind that the target audience shouldn’t be bothered with these popcorn flicks being bogged down by “real” issues, because that might actually end up meaning something and give way to actual feelings vs simply *feel good*. People pretty much just want to be entertained by the snappy dialog and explosions and go out to the bars afterwards to talk about how awesome it all was.
Huh. Now I’m starting to think that maybe Scorsese did have a point.
I don't know much about vibrant graphics options, but what is noticably absent here?FFVII remake pc settings
Hm, pretty sparse. I like how about half the options are related to HDR even though few gaming monitors are capable of good HDR, if any HDR at all.
No options for vsync, unlocked framerate, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, SSAO, depth of field, motion blur, fov and a couple other common pc settings.I don't know much about vibrant graphics options, but what is noticably absent here?
So some of the most basic features for PC are missing. If this isn't the sure signs of porting disaster, I don't know what is.No options for vsync, unlocked framerate, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, SSAO, depth of field, motion blur, fov and a couple other common pc settings.
Also no stuff like DLSS or FSR.
Is FoV common for 3rd person games? No options for vsync, unlocked framerate, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, SSAO, depth of field, motion blur, fov and a couple other common pc settings.

FoV is fairly common, tho imo not as common as it should be. It's one of those settings that pc gamers always appreciate. 144 and 165hz monitors are common nowadays. I'm using a 240hz monitor myself. The refresh rate wasn't what I bought it for tho, and generally don't bother going above 120 due to diminishing returns. Is FoV common for 3rd person games?
Also it caps FPS at 120 I didn't know monitors could even display more than that.
It seems a lot of those options might be locked behind the base code being console compatable.
Though I'm sure modders are going to have a field day with this game so it'll be exciting to watch.
I agree that they shouldn't have to.FoV is fairly common, tho imo not as common as it should be. As for the remaining options, I know they are there under the hood, because the game runs on UE4, and the stuff I mentioned (except DLSS/FSR) are standard featured settings for that engine, commonly available in basically every decent pc version running on it. Their abscence is generally a pretty good indicator of a low effort port job. That about half the settings are dedicated to HDR, a feature the vast majority of pc monitors can't properly display, seems to lend more credence to this.
There is a tool called Universal Unreal Engine Unlocker which can force enable them in most cases, so it might also for this game. So yes, modding them back in should be relatively easy, but as said in the edit of my earlier reply, they shouldn't have to.
You’re Critical Gaming though! Shouldn’t at least some of that pertain to the finer technical details of games too?I agree that they shouldn't have to.
I dunno I've never been one to fuck with game settings much beyond whatever needs to be messed with in order for the game to run at 60 fps on my system. I do get that there is a subset of pc players that really like to be able to tweak everything possible for "perfect" performance or whatever. I just don't notice these things because I don't care that much beyond the game working and being fun.
Hell I don't even know what Aliasing is, or which aliasing is the best aliasing. I have a 144hz 4k/HDR monitor that i use mostly for PS5 but I can connect it to my laptop, though I dunno what HDR is so I wouldn't know if it's working or not.

Not really no. Because I am critical of the game, not the tech behind the game. You’re Critical Gaming though! Shouldn’t at least some of that pertain to the finer technical details of games too?
Well, I am one of those pc players who likes to tinker, but that's not why I find a lack of graphics settings disappointing. It's a matter of principle. I am a pc gamer because I highly value the versatility of the platform. Simply put: "play the way you want to". And scalable graphics are part of that.I agree that they shouldn't have to.

Anti-aliasing is a variety of techniques used to smooth out jagged edges in digital images. There's like dozens of types, but they all try do the same thing: make edges appear smooth (even though they aren't by their very nature of being made up of pixels i.e. squares.). For example.Hell I don't even know what Aliasing is, or which aliasing is the best aliasing.
All LED monitors are LCD monitors, the difference being a LED LCD obviously used LEDs while plain old LCDs use fluorescent lamps. But I'm not really sure what you're asking, because afaik pretty much all decent gaming monitors are LED nowadays, except maybe older models or really cheap stuff. Anyway, if I had to choose, I would definitely go LED over plain LCD, just for the superior image quality. I upgraded not too long ago from an old plain LCD, and the difference in color and sharpness is night and day. Be sure to get one with full array backlighting tho, not edge-lit, cuz that looks like crap.Somewhat related question: what’s your opinion on LED vs LCD monitors ATM? I’ve been holding out for well over a year now to see where the general consensus settles on futures of each, but have heard little change one way or another.
Ill take both. Thanks.
Looking good folks, lookin good.
