For better or worse, it's a part of the song; I don't think even a radio edit would cut it completely. You might be able to buy the original song and use an editor to cut the end, but I don't think that's worth the effort OR investment. I'd also argue the chanting isn't out of place. You don't have to like it, but it's little more than a wordless vocal refrain of the established chorus.
I also have a song called 'The Autumn Effect' that has a longish ending segment with no vocals but in that case I feel that it suits the song and I like what I hear from it,
I'd actually like it if it was longer and its own song.
There's also 'Emblas Saga' which starts off with a segment of slow, haunting singing in Sweedish that I really like but doesn't fit with the rest of the song that, while I don't think it's out of place given the subject of the song, might have been better off being its own song, I have the impression that a lot of people didn't buy that song because they didn't know what the rest of it was like.
'Aerials' has these for its lyrics.
Life is a waterfall
We're one in the river
And one again after the fall
Swimming through the void, we hear the word
We lose ourselves, but we find it all
'Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go, but you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play but you never want to lose
Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind, you free your life
Life is a waterfall
We drink from the river
Then we turn around and put up our walls
Swimming through the void, we hear the word
We lose ourselves, but we find it all
'Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go, but you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play but you never want to lose
Oh
Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind, you free your life
Aerials, so up high
When you free your eyes, eternal prize
Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind, you free your life
Aerials, so up high
When you free your eyes, eternal prize
And then it has a long period of no music followed by, what sounds like to my ears, Native American chanting. It just doesn't fit with the tone and lyrics of the rest of the song.
And here's the thing. Most of the versions I can find on Youtube don't even have the chanting at the end.
So no, I think this is just a case of me needing to not be lazy and go buy the version without it since I probably have the version that was on the original CD with the song.
