As for NATO expanding west, it was democratically done by democratically voted in governments. Yes as a president of the US you could have vetoed it but it would be against US interests. Peace is only useful if your benefiting from said peace, and have nothing to gain from being aggressive. This is why you academic types are never involved in government foreign policy. This is why only the realist get in government. You don’t know how to exploit openings in foreign policy that give you leverage. Ukraine and Eastern Europe joining NATO against Russia gives it purpose, and gives the EU and US leverage in exchange for making the geopolitical situation more dynamic and unstable which I will grant you it does.

Why would I support a NATO invasion of Russia RIGHT NOW? They have thousands of nuclear weapons and a nuclear triad. What I support is giving Ukraine long-range missiles to strike deep inside of Russia, and F-15EX & F-16V plus Abrams Sep 1 to 3, but not a nuclear holocaust.

Now as for the long term, yeah I do support an invasion of Russia, and China. Eventually, US AI, US-directed energy weapons, and layer missile defenses will render Russian and Chinese WMDs irrelevant, and then we do an invasion of Russia, then after winning that China.

As for Iran, it depends. IF they turn into a Persian democracy, I don't care what their politics is, I wouldn't support an invasion, but if the Ayatollah,s, and Mullahs still control it, then I would support a Robo-Cop-like invasion with hunter-killer drones, and AI-manned vehicles.

I don't support invading Vuvlezula. Syria is free real estate to regime change.

I actually think NATO countries that are large enough should admit more Russian young male refugees not out of the kindness of my heart, but due to the fact that they aren't in the Russian military and aren't contributing to the Russian economy.

Iraq was based due to our winning of the conflict, and it turned into a democracy where Yazidi women have representation in the government. Also Iraqi Kurdistan is also based.

As for Failhanistan, yeah it was a failure, and we underestimated the resolve of Pashtu men to fight for the oppression of their women.

That trade you Australians depend on is protected using US hard power. Otherwise, your imported goods would cost 100s of percentages more due to regional naval blockades, tariffs, non-tariff barriers, and stupid pass-through fees plus you would have to pay tribute to the regional powers who would rent-seeking fees on the flow of goods.

There is a reason Australia never had a recession, due to the fact they trade with China and India two rising powers, but this trade is protected by American steel.

Plus I am from the suburbs I once had a republican tell me that we should poison Iran's water supply to counter them.
