So, what's the run down currently?
GOP are retaking congress, senate probably stay democrat with maybe slight gain. Dem seems to be doing good on governor race with slight gain here and there.

Not a red wave, but the government will be paralyzed for the next 2 years and any investigation into jan 6 is dead and probably also anything to do with Trump.

SPM officially lost his race, and may be why the dems lose the house. Petty party politics from ineffectual centrists, people more concerned with getting the left out of the way than actually governing.

No better feeding ground for opposition campaigning than a paralyzed and ineffectual government.

2024 gonna be fun!...

A lot of the people we voted for in our area won in Michigan. I can take comfort in that.

I think that's very unfair, Oz was a brillant heart surgeon and I haven't heard anything that would assume he had a serious brain injury since then, he just seemed like a greedy person willing to take advantages of gullible peoples for money.
OZ is a brilliant heart surgeon AND his version of homeopathy... it was strange that some so clearly gifted with medicine also fell homeopathy. And unfortunately, being in those circles means you bump up against dangerous idiots who are more likely to kill people than help. So, of course, he brought some of those onto Oprah

Which is to say that I think Oz actually believes in quite a few products he sells, more than a grifter.

What would 'Democratic excess' look like, out of interest? Modest regulation?
Degrowth economics, war on natural gas done too soon, forcing everyone into crowded apartments in order to kill the suburbs vs doing it via townhouses which are ten times better, AI regulations, regulations on AI swarms such as swarms of loitering munitions, axing a weapons program I like Obama did with the F-22.

Edit: Anti-meat regulations with regard to steak, pork, and lamb.

"Too soon" to move decisively and quickly off fossil fuels was over a century ago. And meat consumption at the current rate is also ecologically unsustainable and a public health nightmare in America.

Most of the rest, like "degrowth economics", don't exist.

Truth is, even with total control of both chambers, the Democrats aren't going to be "excessive" about much at all, in terms of policy.

How are townhouse ten time better than apartment, you do understand you can put more people in big tower than small house, right? And what does that have to do with the government? What gets build is very local

Fucking Eric Schmitt won here in MO. Its disgusting. At least Greitens didn't win, but that's a pretty fucking low bar, even for Republicans.
But we got pot legalized and forgiveness and erasure of non-violent crimes for it. So its not all bad.

Also great to see the red wave was just a red fart.

I'm afraid I have to disagree, natural gas is a natural transitional power source, it's better than oil and coal. As for meat, I eat meat every day, and I'm afraid I have to disagree with the vegan movement in democratic policy circles. Also, I would rather live in a townhouse than a small uncomfortable apartment, also the more the density the lower the population growth rate from natural births. If everyone lived in cities the human race would be extinct due to high econ growth than low birthrates that follow, and I like human civilization.

Also, de-growth economics is what will happen if one-party democratic control occurs, the Overton window will be shifted towards it. Same with apartments, given I have heard from lefty policy circles in city planning about how they want people in small apartments like in Singapore or Japan.

Also, Obama did kill the F-22 along with sec def Gates.
