You're right. There might be absolutely no space between them in terms of quality.
On one hand, we have a remake of a great horror game, with more extra contents and updated mechanics
On the other hand, we have a horror game directed by the original creator of dead space, not bound by any EA bullshit.
What a strange time we live in. It would be like if Shiregu Miyamoto left Nintendo to make his own adventure game, around the same time the new zelda game comes out, or if Ken Levine created another dystopian city adventure game when a new bioshock game comes out.

And then you have another spiritual successor to Dead Space called Negative Atmosphere (also made up of mid-level devs from the DS team), that has been in development since 2017, and is supposed to come out either late in 2023 or somewhere in 2024. Talk about irony.

TL;DR
The specialist will now fall into the actual class system, and they'll only have access to gadgets and gears appropriate for their class
More weapons from past BF games will continuously be added
Some maps will be redesigned, as well as new additions

Oh same here! Vacation for two weeks outside of US, 12 hours of flight! All I got with me is a casual laptop only capable of running non-graphic heavy games and indie games. I'm bringing with me great games like Hades, Hollow Knight, Portal 1 and 2, etc. But I would much rather be playing something like Persona 5 on my main machine or GOW:Ragnarok on ps4 pro.
