And people with caravans are just pricks not matter where they come from.
Generally, I think the three best predictors of a driver in the UK being an utter prick are (no particular order):
1) Drives an Audi, Mercedes-Benz or BMW
2) Male
3) Under 30

Apparently Tesla drivers are building quite a rep, as flash wankers who want a status car have been switching their attention there from the German brands, but they've not made it to my shitlist yet.

Probably just a matter of market share.

The prick list for around my way would be:

1) wearing a hat whilst driving
2) car has over a foot clearance above the ground
3) has ALL the spotlights and lightbars

Or

- Towing a caravan

Or

- Victorian number plates

Seriously, what the fuck? It's a common cause of accidents.

Not only is speeding itself a substantial cause of accidents alone, it can be a secondary factor for other causes (such as loss of control or failing to correctly judge another car's path or speed). It's also overrepresented in accidents that involve serious injury and death, for extremely obvious reasons.
Dude, he's just doing the 'Covid didn't kill anyone' thing again.

Eg. Im going to guess that running into another car is the cause of an accident. Anything before that moment is irrelevant and cannot be a cause of an accident
No one died of Covid because that not what is written FIRST as the main cause of death. It would be something like a asphyxiation or whatever (sorry, I can't remember the exact commonest way to die when you got covid). Anything that happened before the asphyxiation is irrelevant and cant be counted

All he is doing is something like 'Lincoln died of a brain hemorrhage'. Which is completely true and does not give a full telling of events and is completely misleading

He just uses words in a completely different way to score political points

I was just going to say anyone from Sydney and not pick on a whole state. Although, it hard to tell just looking at number plates

Wear I live, I find it's the VW drivers that are the worst. I can guarantee that the car riding on my rear bumper regardless of what speed I'm doing will more often than not have a VW badge on it. They are a special type of wanker.

Mind you, I have a feeling that everyone forgot how to drive during lock down and now everyone drives like a ****.

I miss lock down:)

An Audi driver with a personalised plate flashed me when I was (presumably) driving too slowly on my way home from my dad's funeral (it was in Cornwall, I live in Newcastle), and even though the prick in question obviously didn't understand my circumstances, I have forever assumed that Audi drivers are witless bellends.

Yeah, that's pretty typical.

I am not a slow driver, and I really, really hate being tailgated and flashed: it just makes me very passive aggressive, and I will hold them up even more. At one level I know I shouldn't, because it makes pricks like that more likely to carry out a dangerous manoeuver, but...

In fact, once I was in the outside lane doing some overtaking and someone (male, under 30, but not a German car) did this to me, so I slowed down to make the overtaking even longer. When I finally completed and moved into the middle lane, he zoomed past me, swung into the middle right in front of me and hit his brakes - and not just a tap. Luckily, I was attentive, but words fail me. You have to be a truly special sort of arsehole to deliberately risk a collision at 70 mph which would potentially result in a multi-car pile-up. I think he probably thought that if there was a collision I would be considered at fault as the car behind, but that rule doesn't work when a driver pulls into someone's lane without leaving proper distance. Although it would be difficult to prove either way without a camera, and the insurance might just decide mutual fault.

As an addendum here, there are few better ways to encourage good behaviour than a camera. If you've got a passenger, they can get their phone out and just point it at the other car. You would be amazed at how many drivers suddenly become pleasant and reasonable.

"Urban" offroad vehicles with bumper bars? That slow down more than everyone else when going over a speedbump?

Or...trying to drive across a flooded river, though that is a self correcting problem.

Oh sure, I don't mind those. But offroad vehicles intended to be used solely on city roads...bah!
I'm not against taxing the wazoo out of urban off-road vehicles. They're a plague and a prime example of problematic selfishness: they're dreadful gas-guzzlers and cause lots of emissions, they drastically reduce visibility for most other car drivers, plus they are substantially more dangerous to pedestrians because of the higher fronts. I don't like tinted windows either, because they also block a lot of visibility: it greatly increases awareness of the wider environment when you see through the screens of the cars in front. Finally, I'd also like to see the maximum intensity of headlights reduced (or a mandatory yellow filter), because I think the newer, bright-white LEDs cause excessive glare for other drivers.

As someone who drives fast, and would almost certainly be annoyed by what you did, I don't understand those drivers who brake check when they get around. I drive fast because I want to get somewhere, so I don't understand getting around and then deliberately slowing down.
