Funny thing, the "we are the oppressed minority and everybody is against us" game continues even when they are in power (both in the US or in Greece they keep whining about the the left "hegemony" after they win governmental elections and apply their inhumane laws). And it alternates sometimes in the same sentence with "we are the near unanimous common sense, you people are just fringe ideologues".
Again, conservative bullshitting : whatever feels and sounds nice, whatever validates their side morally, with zero regard for truth, reality and even internal coherence.
One could also note how fascists are both inherently better than the others, and being oppressed by them.

To be fair, there's some canny electoral strategy in such 'expectation management'. Emphasise now much of a tough time you'll have winning, and your own supporters become more motivated, and your opponents become complacent.
