Zuko's scar still doesn't look that impressive, but it is both hidden by the helmet, and there's of course the practical matter of not blinding your actor.
I'll give that leeway, but this is once again, an adaption that was never needed in the first place.
I honestly didn't mind it until the Gum Gum Pistol. It just sounds too jarring in English... I had to look away.
I'm still confused why they decided to do this. Even if it ended up being good, there's no fucking way they'd be able to do the whole story. I wonder what exactly is the goal of this is in a business sense, how is this making them money?
