Happy to see Ghostrunner 2 running with the big leagues - now you got preorder options, fancier AAA graphics and more money pumped into nearly every element of design found in the first. But I gotta ask: Where'd the motion blur toggle-off option go? With other games, it's be easy to ignore and adjust to. Yet of all the genres, subgenres of FPS, Ghostrunner must be among the most ill-advised to force drunken blur-vision permanently upon the player, whag is the logic are you working from? First boss encounter dashing left n right real close to the screen was more a test of motion sickness than ninja combat, though it looked like it would've been way more fun as it was originally designed before the blur post-process. So regardless of extra budget and new engine gloss, the first Ghostrunner remains ironically the superior visual experience.
Yakuza Dragon - ok yeah we've long known and accepted Kiryu as comically-noble stoic who is as kind hearted as he is an undefeatable hero and morally immovable. But when he revealed the backstory explanation to an earlier revelation (medical info, can't spoil hippa violations here obvs) that at the time really humanised him as someone who equally can't escape entropic gamble of life as us, man - it was so ludicrously, unnecessarily heroic i may have audibly accused my telly screen of taking the piss and telling it to fuck off. I almost cared, goddamn.
